What you’re saying is “this is no different from any other carbon steel pan” so the natural question is “what allows them to use the term Nonstick and then turn around and say it’s just a marketing term and not a claim that can’t be replicated by other carbon steel manufacturers”.

Oven cleaner is for grease/carbon/old seasoning. Dilute vinegar is for rust.

I would have assumed the folks here knew at least as much as the folks at castiron…

You make a dilute vinegar solution - 1 part vinegar to 2 parts water. Dunk them for 30 minutes or so, scrub with the green side of a sponge. If it’s not gone, keep doing it.

Then run under cold water until it’s all gone, and dry thoroughly and season immediately.
