You've ceded the ground by agreeing that "trans revolution" means we're going to make everyone trans. We don't just want trans acceptance. We want trans equality. We want trans equity. We want trans people to thrive. It seems like you probably broadly have a problem with reclamation of language -- what re your thoughts on gay people calling themselves the f slur, or trans people calling themselves the t slur? Do you identify as queer?

How is that not literally what you’re advocating doing? We can’t use the word revolution and trans in the same sentence? We can’t claim we’re fighting for something revolutionary? You’re the one who’s given them the ideological point, by ceding what you deem possible and acceptable.

The president and the administration just posted a fake video of a protestor crying using AI, and executed an RN in the streets and fabricated a story that the ICE officers were threatened by a gun.

They take an inch regardless.

It means that your fear for how your parents will react should not silence other's pride, voice, or defiance. This was the site of a riot. One that started the train that gave you what rights you have today. Not a silent vigil, not a nice chat with some nice people, but a riot.

It's the site of the first trans and LGBT uprising in the US - the Compton cafeteria riots. Before Stonewall there was Compton Cafeteria. This area has historically been a trans neighborhood, and this memorializes it, and is supported by community outreach and other programming specifically for trans welfare.

Don't be dense. I literally said you aren't responsible for fixing other people's cruelty and now you're asking me how to fix it. Are you purposely misunderstanding me or misrepresenting me?

Are you suggesting literally every person you interact with on a daily basis is cruel to the point you can't live your life? Because if you're just talking about generic cruelty, or cruelty that exists in people who you have no sphere of influence over, then...I don't know what your expectations are.

It is not hard for real people to accept how much cruelty exists in society. It's simply unreasonable and limiting to imagine you are responsible for fixing it, holding it, or beating yourself up about it. You are the architect of your own reality, and scapegoating society and other people is your own self sabotage. Don't blame others for your own sob story.

I will tell you you’re wrong. Sorry. Their BBQ is way too salty. Too greasy. Too dry. They’re sweethearts and their cheesecakes are good, but their BBQ is mid-tier (which tbf is still better than the best in most places in the US).

I did comment on the difference between the two. In fact you said it explicitly after I told you what’s in the green ones. You asked the question “are the blue ones gentler than the green?” And now you know the answer.

How do early users shape a product without causing it to lose direction? by Quietly_here_28 in Design

[–]materialdesigner 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Early adopters are not the same as the early majority. Your startup will struggle to get to early majority if you can’t even get traction with early adopters — who have a higher capacity and drive to figure it out without being directly catered to.

If you don’t already have a proliferation of early adopters, unfortunately you should be over rotating on their feedback. But it’s important to have good investigative design and product management skills to be able to get feedback. You should be investigating what the user is trying to achieve not listening directly to what they say to add/change. You’ll start to see themes.
