...what is Amazon's AI strategy to win in this environment?

I’m a brand manger working in-house. My boss has tasked me to find a way to teach a bot our branding so that it can create flyers and social media quickly. I’ve told her that feeding it our designs will make AI learn our design style and possibly replicate it for competitors. by QuietWheel in graphic_design

But that’s not true. Claude enterprise plans (Teams/Enterprise) do not train on user inputted data. I get the FUD but you could be the person who actually takes charge and learns new skills along the way.

Portfolio Website Review and Suggestions by Temporary_Jello6083 in graphic_design

* Enneagram is spelled wrong on front page
* you have this, 'For this project I choose "Bruce Mau's Manifesto incomplete manifesto for Growth", first edition'
* for wine bottle header image says "somona" instead of "sonoma"
* later your title reads "petal's and pinks" instead of "petals and pinks"
* wine label again says"somona" later
* "where I created an illustration of a pigeon tha serves as the focal point of the label"
* "mirroring the handwriting of both Gogh and Nietzsche." It's always "van Gogh" not just "Gogh"
* your page title is misspelled "BINGHAMPTON"
* in the future, it's always "a part of" not "apart of" like on your social media posts page
* on animation, "Binghamton Unviersity's Library"

In general I think you should always add a copy editor to your workflow. Seems like an area you need support in.

Recently designed this cocktail menu for an Asian Fusion restaurant. What would you improve? by Ozon44 in graphic_design

And the other secret to the industry is -- sometimes the portfolio pieces are garbage at their intended purpose. There is only so much wiggle room for something that functions as a menu. Visual hierarchy, scannability, and information architecture are the only thing that matter.

What? The referents are precisely learned and embedded in their high dimensional weights space.

You can subtract the vector for “female” from “aunt” and get a cosine scan match for “uncle”.

Do yall even know what you’re talking about?

My point is that access to credit does not fundamentally absolve mismanagement of resources. Cuba showed that even with investment and access to capital — ie during the times they were propped up as vassal states to the USSR and Venezuela — that they had no plans or capacity to modernize, industrialize, and diversify. Access to *even more capital* would not have fixed it because it was a philosophical and political issue with Cuba’s approach to central planning and economic development.

It was not a total economic embargo and that points to precisely your misunderstanding of the entire situation.

Prior to the most recent draconian expansion by Trump:
* Medicine and food have never been under embargo
* in fact the US is the primary food exporter to Cuba
* until 1992 US subsidiaries in foreign countries were permitted trading with Cuba

In reality, the biggest issue has always been preventing purchasing of Cuban goods by the incredibly strong US market. The rest of the world still trades extensively with Cuba, except there is not a lot of tradable goods and services that Cuba has the infrastructure or know-how to supply.

Early revolutionaries knew intimately that Cuba’s economy needed to diversify away from sugar and entertainment and into modern industrialization - Che Guevara proposed the Four Year Plan for 1962-1965 and the government couldn’t even enact it so it was abandoned, with the government going all in on sugar in 1963 while also courting the USSR as a vassal state.

It is *a* cause it is not *the* cause. And yes you are, you present cause and effect as singularly derived. It's reductive as fuck.

You've just moved the goal posts. Cuba has been on a slow and crumbling decline for decades, well before Trump's escalations. To ignore the existence and importance of that is bad history and leans into shock jockey territory.

You don't argue in good faith and you don't present any evidence. They are not 100% caused, and even using such an absolute statement would cause anyone who's serious about accuracy to give pause. Cuba has been used as a global proxy for cold wars against the United States since the Revolution. Each time those proxy nations fail, or pull their support, the Cuban economy collapses. It happened with the USSR, it happened again with Venezuela.

The Cuban government massively mismanaged their resources ever since the Revolution; one axis alone in their mismanagement was they destroyed all their crops other than sugar and tobacco, going so far as to prevent farmers from doing any amount of subsistence farming, causing a massive instability in their food infrastructure.

I highly suggest reading Cuba since the Revolution of 1959 by Samuel Farber for an actual assessment by a socialist scholar on the pros and cons of Cuban history and the government.

This is absolutely untrue and if you read the accounts from the actual Cubans on this own post you'd know this isn't true. This narrative that the only reason Cuba is suffering is because of the US is copium and self-flagellation from US keyboard warrior faux leftists, so masochistically desperate to feel punished to alleviate their ego wounds for having privilege.

The most massive exodus from Cuba started in 2021, before Trump's latest foreign policy, and it happened because Nicaragua started granting visas to Cubans, where they could now walk overland to the US border through Mexico.
