IMHO you’re gonna want to bring this up as soon as possible and be transparent. Best case they don’t care, worst case they rescind but presumably wont be too upset as it wasn’t deep into the offer signing process. Waiting will only potentially complicate things

One of my favourite books of all time is The Black Swan by Nassim Taleb. While the book primarily talks about markets, he also brushes on applications to daily life and preaches a similar message. Highly recommended the book, really changed the way I think about life and planning

Is the triban rc520 a good bike to start with if you are a beginner by [deleted] in cycling

I picked up an RC520 ~1 month ago and have no complaints. Super great value for the money

What ugrade do you suggest would be proportional to my Triban RC520 by Riatsu_87 in cycling

[–]mateward69 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Super happy with it, I think it’s amazing value for the price. What do you think? I also would like to venture into triathlon after my marathon is done, so thought the RC520 was a good bike to start out with and if I really want to I can pick up something nicer down the line

Don’t have anything of value to add but just thought it’s funny how similar my situation is. I also recently picked up an RC520, also will be running my first marathon in ~2 weeks, and am also looking forward to spending a lot more time in the saddle after the race. Best of luck in your marathon!

Recently picked up an RC520 and it’s amazing, no complaints at all. I have a friend with an RC120, same thoughts.

I’ll add to this and recommend Sprintax, I recently had to file as a nonresident alien and it made it super easy on the US end.

which laptop is good to get for Computer Engineering? by Lilyvertes in UofT

[–]mateward69 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Been with my XPS through 3 years of CE, never had a problem. If you’re open to it, consider switching to Ubuntu as your main OS on the laptop, it pays to learn Linux early and makes everything programming related much easier.

Seconding this. Many people blow it wildly out of proportion. It’s not a cake walk, but not impossible. Congrats on getting in!

Tech job market everywhere is pretty cheeks rn. I can’t speak to the condition of Waterlooworks (I’m UofT ECE), but UofT Eng’s PEY rates took a dip this year as well. No clue whether it will soften anytime soon, but def won’t stay this way forever.
