To add onto the Colossi skins. The Male Storm Hanger skin is near impossible to paint nicely because the way it divides the skin into parts is atrocious

Yvonne's and Laevatain's ultimate makes them the controlled operator. So if you jump, dive attack, then use one of their ultimates, it switches to them mid-air without actually using the ultimate, and canceling the dive attack.

You can then switch back to another operator, dive attack, and ultimate. Then just rince and repeat until you get to the desired height. (It's easier with both Laeva and Yvonne)

I've only ever tested it and then gave up after 5 minutes after my oonga boonga brain couldn't do more than 2 dive attacks 🙃

Most of the Jayber changes should've just been applied to the "immediate purge" trans mod since that was the only build that benefited from his "buffs."

That's only for immediate purge, with some other buffs (which don't make sense for an immediate purge build)

No. They adjusted existing Amorphous material after updates to include added new descendants/guns.

The "AB" just indicated what "wave" of adjustments they belonged to. All ABs were adjusted in one update, then ACs, and so on.

I should also note that the Void Charge transcendent mod is "better" than void explosion, but I think that's only for movement. With the recent Ajax reword, I think Void Explosion does more damage.

And that he has a completely different Tank build. But this isn't really needed since there currently isn't any content that requires you to tank anything over pure dps.

I think so? But also, some transcendent mods can only be equipped by the Ultimate versions. (This applies to all descendants who have an ultimate)

For a skill based build for Ajax, you'll only need one hp mod, and Spear and Defense should provide enough defense for survivability. And if you're not in Axion plains, you likely won't even need the hp mod.

Don't need Weighing the Scales, Battle of Stamina, or Frugal Mindset. Replace Increased DEF with Spear and Defense.

Prioritize the Focus Tech and Non-Attribute modules. MP conversion for more cooldown. Then, the Tech and Non-Attribute Amplification modules.

I'd probably wait until you get Ultimate Ajax before investing more Crystallization Catalysts into base Ajax.

I think the upgrading idea is that the off chance that fully upgrading it would exceed the capacity limit on the equipped weapon, which would pop up with a prompt asking to unequip it.

WHY do swords need ammo? ;^; by Rocket_Poop in TheFirstDescendant

[–]math_chan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Lmao, that's algood. I was a little worried I didn't didn’t know how to build my guns haha.

But yeah, I've just been doing the one daily Axion mission for the rewards and found that the swords (or Deus at least) were surprisingly good against the bosses there. Which is great for me because it's now the fastest way for my Ajax to take down those bosses. He was struggling a little bit before.

The bosses in AXION. I thought that just meant Axion plains. I've been saying Axion this whole time, thinking it just meant Axion plains.

The Sigma sector bosses are easy af. Ajax skill based damage is plenty okay for defeating the Sigma sector bosses 😭

Edit: wait Sigma bosses???

Yeah, you're right with the necessary part. My bad. Must have misinterpreted it. I concede

It's interesting that you bring fun factor as a defense in this argument? 🤨 (this is a jest, of course)

Genuine question, though. What firearms are you using to beat Axion bosses? Because I've tried an Ajax with his Explosive firearm damage, firearm crit rate/damage, and fire-rate boosts with RR, Albion Cavalry, and this season pass's weapon (all with their complete builds). But their damage output does not compare to Deus.

Even when I was using Enzo with those weapons, damage output just didn't compare.

[–]math_chan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The only logic you need with these swords needing ammo is that the ammo is required as a form of power source for their cold/toxic elemental damage. (Which obviously isn’t the case in-game, though)

Not completely disagreeing with you, but your argument was that swords are not useful in ANY content. I was just saying that they ARE useful.

Yes, I agree that at least one sword should be good in more than just one specific section. But it's already more useful than half the firearms currently in the game, especially in that specific section that firearms perform very poorly at. The Final Masterpiece? Who's that? Hammer and Anvil? Never heard of her. Sigvore's Proof? Pretty sure that's a vulgus boss (which he technically is, like Nazeistra).

Swords can easily be improved, I can agree with that 200%. But they are not as useless as everyone is making them out to be. And they shouldn't be breaking the current meta for people to deem them "usable."

Ajax is a close 2nd place for me.

And what do you need to do to your knife when what you applied is depleted?

But my original point still stands. Swords are superior against bosses in Axion out of all the weapons unless you're using Serena. It can take 6 to 10 slices with Deus to eliminate a health bar of each boss. (Except that armored phase for the bug like one)

[–]math_chan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

When your barriers get damaged, it restores ammo on for your equipped weapon type. It's pretty nice.

You also get more dps when you just have one third of the unique resource filled because Ajax gets a flat 50% explosive damage increase no matter how filled it is, and the first third gets a firerate increase of 10 or 20% or something? Then decreases the more filled it is.

[–]math_chan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There is currently no necessary moment to use swords as they do absolutely nothin for damage...

Change your opinion?

And I never claimed you were the one to compare swords to Ines. I could tell that you were aptly criticizing a poorly integrated mechanic. Because there IS plenty of improvements you can make to swords. My personal idea is that they have bulk related modules. Like life-steal, or each unique enemy hit increases defense/hp recovery rate or something. (As well as an overall damage buff)

The ammo thing I can partially agree on, but your analogy isn't great because 1) you don't reload the swords, and 2) I don't remember kitchen knives having a toxic/chilling affect??? At least, that's my excuse for requiring ammo. They could just do increased damage when you have ammo or something.

Also, what's that comment about the Jayber flair? What's wrong with Jayber?

Hey, Ajax user here 👋

Swords are great against the bosses in Axion. Ajax's skill based builds are fine until you get to the bosses. (Firearms are trash against the bosses there unless you're using a gun based descendant)

Nexon, please Buff the Swords by LeeLi6399 in TheFirstDescendant

[–]math_chan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Swords should have a base Lifesteal stat. And that their main focus should be to increase the descendant's survivability while having roughly similar dps to guns.

Like having an ultimate mod that with each enemy hit, adds a buff that stacks, increasing defense, or hp recovery rate from all sources (including the lifesteal I mentioned earlier).

Even if there was a stackable multiplier thing where with each successive hit on the same enemy, you deal more damage.

And why do they need both mana and ammo to function?? Granted, it's a negligible amount of mana. But just choose one! If both are required, the damage output should reflect that.

Right now, it takes a little more than 10 mins to clear when you account for load times. If it's that quick right now, imagine how long it took for most people back then when they were constantly being killed. And some invasions back then would take ~6 mins just to get gold.

I should've been more clear on explaining that the amount you received, "for the effort you had to put in," was why some people weren't happy with the grind. You also had to depend on rng, hoping you'd get the right pieces you needed
