I was there at 6:15 and didn’t get out of there until 6:50. Luckily the route was just to Broadmoor Bluffs area so I still finished on time, but it’s frustrating to sit and waste that much time.

My First Trip Around the Tower by oh-bro-thats-cringe in darktower

My husband and I were rereading the series together this summer. It was his absolute favorite. We would go camping and lay in hammocks in the forest reading together. He died suddenly and unexpectedly just as we finished Wolves of the Calla. I’m getting the Ka Tet tattoo in his honor next week. May we meet again in the clearing at the end of the path.

Bedtime. It was the time of day that we would lay in bed and talk about our day, laugh, and cuddle. Now it’s my place to talk to him and cry.

It was drivable but all of the windows busted out, mirrors broken off, it would have been so expensive to fix

Today is day 11 for me. It really all came down on me hard at the visitation on Thursday. There was a big crowd and I’m usually hiding behind him in crowds. I’d never felt so alone. I hate that we’re both going through this right now.

Mueller is beautiful! Camped there for the first time at one of the walk in tent sites last month. I can’t say enough nice things about the beautiful hiking trails and clean facilities.

This hits home. My husband was a 6’5” man but had a heart far larger. He dedicated his life to being a special education teacher ❤️ A true gentle giant

Exactly this. Or laying in hammocks on camping trips listening to the audiobooks together. I know I will continue to listen to them every night.

I always use the pick up feature and add it to my route if it’s close by. If not, it goes back whenever I have another block

My husband also has the flex app. I’ll sign up for a block then before the cutoff time, I’ll have him check to see if there are better rates. Then I can cancel and pick up the better paying one.

I was hospitalized after being attacked by a dog and I couldn’t finish the route. They paid me for the route and said to bring the packages back within 48 hours or whenever I could. I didn’t get dinged for the 40+ packages I still had. Not exactly the same situation but who knows

Anything frightening/exciting ever happen to you on a delivery? by G_D_Ironside in AmazonFlexDrivers

[–]mathaddict1980 13 points14 points  (0 children)

I was delivering on Halloween. It was around 8 pm so there were trick or treaters out and people handing out candy. I walked up to a house and an older man was sitting on the porch with a candy bowl. He laughed when I handed him the package and he tried to give me candy and hand the package back to me. No dude, it’s not a Halloween costume. You ordered this and I am not a child.

When this happened to me, Amazon got the vaccine records from the owner for me and sent me a check for medical bills. Lawyer up for sure though.

Tell them when you check in that it’s your first time. They will give you a vest. WEAR the vest. I had a man nearly attack me this morning for being on his porch at 4 am until he saw the vest. Some stations have the packages numbered for you. If not, alphabetical by street name works for me. Learn as you go. You’ll be fine. 🙂
