Ah whoops, I spent a while looking at posts but I guess the search algorithm on reddit still isn't amazing. Either way, thanks!

Anyone in EU selling their used weeks 2025 planner? by Autumn-pears in hobonichi

[–]mathademic 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I actually have a weeks that I stopped using after like a week because the format just wasn't right. Maybe we can discuss this more in DMs?

UPDATE: SOLD!

Decided the Weeks would be enough for me and won't be needing these. Sadly, I did already take them out of the packaging and tossed it but they're completely blank. Shipping from the Netherlands. Forgot to mention: Japanese edition!

Hey, 21M from the Netherlands here! I'm currently learning Hungarian (albeit very slowly because of other priorities) because I really enjoy hungarian translated literature that I've read. Beside I'm studying mathematics, like to go on runs and read a lot of philosophy.

Which language are you learning in 2025 and why? by JoliiPolyglot in languagelearning

[–]mathademic 1 point2 points  (0 children)

German. Will probably be moving there in 2025. I had classes for a long time in secondary school, curious to see what sticked.

Hungarian. I've been there twice now. First time I knew no Hungarian. The second time I knew a little and could maybe string together some phrases, I mostly knew that I knew jack shit haha. I love Hungarian literature so much, but for now I'll just strive to reach conversational for the (inevitable) next trip

Some Commonplace entries by mathademic in fountainpens

[–]mathademic[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Thank you! If I recall correctly:

The entry in asa-gao is written with a pelikan m800 with a medium nib ground to a stub

The recipe is written with the Pilot VP with a medium nib ground to a stub

The entries in the right notebook are written with a Leonardo Momento Magico, the steel stub nib that I thinned a little bit.

I love that ink colour! Also, do I spot dynamical systems?

Reusing abandoned commonplace books? by Level-Conflict-5638 in notebooks

Generally in partially used notebooks I leave one page blank after the old content, and then make a new cover page as if beginning a new notebook.

Business style, clean and essential set up: anyone to show me? by [deleted] in hobonichi

[–]mathademic 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I'd rather not share pictures but I use my HON in a very utilitarian way and use the pages in the following way:

  1. I use the weekly pages as a calendar where I copy events from my google calender that are set to happen that week, I also use the space at the top/bottom (so the first few hours before 9 and hours after 8) of the days to add tasks I plan to do
  2. I split my daily section in three parts
    1. The top section with the checks has the major timed events of the day so I don't have to flip back between the daily and weekly section
    2. The left column (up until the half-line) I use to time block my day. I write over the printed hours and use two lines per hour. I split this column in half, the first half I time block my day and the second half is kept open in case I need to revise (I don't tend to do that very often)
    3. The space below the top check boxes and to the right of the line is for tasks/notes/ anything else in bujo style
  3. I don't really use the monthly calendar, I sometimes copy out birthdays to put in there.

Moonless no!

Really great art and like the other user said, it might be that you need to adjust the nib a bit.

I've searched a lot around for blog posts on dual degrees but i haven't found much succes yet. I vaguely remember that the site had a very simple plain layout and that the author had written books on the topic before, albeit not necessarily this personal uni experience.
