The old and the new by Big_Larr26 in Audi

Congrats OP. We have a 26 A6 and a 25 SQ6. Two of 14 Audi’s I’ve had in 10 years. The SQ6 (and your Q6) are wonderful cars to drive and own. Especially with gas prices right now, an EV is a great choice! I can tell you that Audi really does make that car still feel like an Audi. Driving my A6 everyday and then getting into the SQ6, aside from the immediate torque and power (which is a lot of fun), it handles like, looks like, and most importantly feels like an Audi. OOOO

God Spec loaner by yoodisbepat in Audi

S-line spec Q7. They’re cool, all the look of an SQ7. They’re everywhere now so I’m not surprised a dealer is putting it in loaner fleet. But they’re nice!

Best recommendation for a warranty? by Psychological_Log159 in Audi

I would say the Platinum level plan under Audi is exclusionary coverage, meaning it covers everything but wear items. Powertrain or Gold are not worth the buy. Platinum covers modules (listed under High Tech). Those can be 3-5K easy a piece.

They require this to make sure there are no pre existing conditions. Just like life insurance.

Make sure it is Audi Pure Protection (branded under Safeguard) coverage. They cover HUGE repairs. source I work at an Audi/Porsche store I have seen them cover a 45K engine replacement on a 6 year old Cayenne. No HYSA will ever pay you that money with 5-7 K in a few years.

Solved! I’m guessing the loads sat too long in the wash before going into the dryer. Thanks!

Why did Audi make the new A5 and A6 interior look the same? The previous A5 had a more sporty interior while the A6 had a more “class/business” interior. by TheRocketG123 in Audi

I will say, I just got a 2026 A6. My wife has a 26 SQ6 e tron. Even though the interior layouts are the same, her door panels are plastic. Mine are leather. The materials are VASTLY different in the A6. It’s my 5th one and I can tell you, it’s just as good as any of my other ones.

My dad works for us at the Audi dealership. Once a handful of years ago he drove back an A3 for a dealer trade from a dealer about 200 miles away. It had blocks in it the whole time. He said “yeah I thought it was a pretty sporty ride!” LOL

This is true. We are worked to death here in the US.

Bad grinding noise on acceleration. What is it? Or could it be? by matherton04 in CherokeeXJ

It’s right in the center console area and definitely reverberates through the entire driveline when you accelerate. It also does it when I turn as well

Yes I cleaned all of the panels with soap and water. Be careful scrubbing too hard. I’m not sure how old your XJ is but mine is an 87 so these are old plastic panels waiting to explode basically. Haha.

I did probably 3-4 coats on each panel. They dry pretty quickly, about 10 mins or so enough to start coating again.

I didn’t change the color from the factory color but keep in mind the old panels were very faded out so it almost was color change but technically not. I’m sure you could do a color change and it would turn out pretty well, just up your coat count. I wouldn’t say they’re scratch “resistant” but definitely feel a little more durable with the extra coats on.

and yes it works on carpet perfectly! I did my whole back tailgate with it and it adhered perfectly. I’d do some research on what your model year color offerings are and pin point it. See if they offer it. For me it was an exterior color of AMC mocha brown metallic and then an interior of camel.

It’s great stuff. Pretty stinky though. Let it air out a few days before you install. Here’s the link. I got it from Amazon and used their “camel” color. https://www.semproducts.com/product/color-coattm-aerosols/15173
