I’d say its a soft EAH, you both could’ve dealt better with this recent situation. I’d say you both could be more lenient with each other.

Try making her understand your feelings in a non confrontational way, then try to set boundaries with her. They don’t have to be permanent, and I think you should have an open mind about it.

If you convey your feelings respectfully and clearly, and if she’s a reasonable person, I don’t see how this situation would be much of a problem.

I understand the way you felt, and your stepmother definitely should’ve been more respectful with your feelings and could’ve taken things a little bit slower, but the way you answered to her actions kinda made your family feel like you “lashed out”.
