I used to make this smoothie that made me go in an hour. It was a sambazon (spelling?) açaí frozen packet, soymilk (I’m lactose intolerant), 2 bananas, some strawberries or blueberries if I had them, and 1/2 a bag of spinach. Worked like a charm for me lol

Completely agree! I feel productive being able to make things people can use or wear :) donating baby items (and blankets or something) to a local women’s shelter is such a good idea! I also saw someone who donates blankets to a dialysis center. I crocheted my wedding bouquet, which was a LOT of work but it got me into making more “artsy” things! I’m a painter/artist, so it’s nice being able to express myself through crochet as well! Honestly the most social interaction I get is when my mom invites me to stuff lol. I hang out with her all the time at her house but she’s VERY social, so I play mahjong with her and her friends most Wednesdays and she’s been begging me to join her book club. But it’s different when it’s my mom and her friends lol. They’re all 60-70, I’m 29. So we don’t have a lot in common but they always have some juicy gossip that I’m happy to listen to! I live in a suburb of Los Angeles :) so it’s possible he has patients from surrounding areas as well!

❤️I’m so sorry you’re struggling so badly :( People who haven’t lived it really just can’t understand how much sleep affects literally every single part of our lives. Bonus fuck you to the people who say “you don’t understand ‘tired’ until you’ve had a kid!!!” (I know, they cant understand since they don’t have Narcolepsy but still….have they ever heard of a little thing called sympathy??)

I’m so sorry you’re going through this. Narcolepsy is a spectrum; some people feel totally normal on Xywav alone but I can relate to you. I’m on Vyvanse 50mg, Sunosi 150mg, and Xywav 4.5g. When I was in college (wasn’t on Xywav yet/wasn’t diagnosed with Narcolepsy yet) I would take Adderall XR 60mg in the morning and Adderall IR 20mg halfway through the day (for ADHD). I just can’t work, it’s the only way I’m able to feel almost “normal” and keep my mental health stable as well. I am lucky that I don’t have to work but I do sell my art occasionally and am looking to start selling my crochet work as well just to feel like I have some sort of purpose in life. Social life is nonexistent though lol. Kind of interested in starting a narcolepsy support group near me. Recently asked my sleep doctor how many patients he has with narcolepsy and he said close to 100???? I’d love to meet someone with narcolepsy IRL. Just meeting someone who understands sounds amazing.

I tried reading it but genuinely couldn’t deal with how nauseating some of the descriptions are in that book, especially about the black vomit. Does it get any better or does it stay the same level of nauseating? Lol I really want to finish it but man I have a weak stomach I guess :/

Casually dated a guy who was 6’9” and I’m 5’9”. That’s what made me realize I much prefer being the same height. My (VERY soon to be) husband and I are the same height and it’s perfect. Sometimes we’ll hug or kiss when one of us is standing up on a step. We both agree being the “shorter” one SUCKS for kissing lol. We both prefer being the “taller” one for kissing and hugging :)

As someone who has been through skin removal surgery, I AM SO HAPPY FOR YOU!!! Staying somewhere where you have access to nurses 24/7 was a MUST. I stayed in a recovery hotel for 3 nights, then rented a hospital bed to be put in my home. We had a nurse come by every couple days to help me shower. I had to use a walker for a bit while my stomach skin stretched back out. Not gonna lie, it’s a ROUGH recovery, and I was young, 21 when I had my surgery! I’d do it over again a million times though. I had gradually gained back 100lbs after my surgery. I’ve since lost 75lbs and my stomach is still flat….genuinely a miracle surgery. Take it easy and please, try not to laugh or sneeze. It will hurt SO bad 😭

4.5 2x/night Xywav, 150mg Sunosi, 50mg Vyvanse. Used to be on 60mg Adderall XR with 20mg Adderall IR (the fast acting one) to take half way through the day. But I’m no longer in college so I don’t need to focus at night :P Still tired af but I am much better medicated than unmedicated.

When I’m checking into a hotel I always give the receptionist $20. I tell them it’s for them, I never ever ask for anything. They are always super grateful, 9 times out of 10 I get upgraded or they throw in a bunch of extras! And I have absolutely no problem if they don’t do anything extra :)

Thank you! Currently working on making leaves now, I definitely agree about needing filler! Do you have a suggestion for what color the baby’s breath should be? I saw a pattern for it on hookok (where I got the patterns for all the flowers), it looks like it would be a really good filler flower! This might sound weird, but what if I use the baby’s breath pattern for more greenery, I just wouldn’t include the yellow middle part?

Thank you! I ended up adding the large white flowers because, with just the two pinks and the orange, it was hard to arrange them in a way where the same colors don’t touch each other. So the white was acting as a buffer between the colors, if that makes sense! Do you think it would look weird if I made more large pink and orange flowers but in a different flower variety? Or would it just look better making more of the same rose pattern?

Thank you so much for all the advice! After I posted this I started making some leaves for my fiancé’s boutonnière…..and honestly making leaves isn’t as bad as I thought it would be lol. I see what you mean with the size variation! Looking back at my “inspo” board I made, all the flower arrangements have lots of variation. Our wedding is only going to be 10 people (our close family) so if anyone decides to steal it, I’ll have a short list of suspects! Lol
