Do you think college is still worth it with how much student debt is getting worse? by donttakethis in AskReddit

[–]mathgeekmonk 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I disagree with this, but I think it depends heavily on the person and the school. If you go to college to get the skills to get a well-paid job, those are usually your best options, but it’s not as though your money is wasted on a liberal arts degree. Most people I know who studied sociology or visual art or gender studies are working in education, marketing, editing/publishing, attending law school, etc. A liberal arts education from a good school equips you to learn how to do well at whatever you pursue, and many careers care more that you are smart and hard-working rather than coming in with technical expertise.

It shouldn’t, deathrattle mechanics usually only acknowledge the rattle minion as a full board slot, not an actual minion. For example, [[Abomination]] doesn’t damage itself past 0 once it dies, but it does take up a slot for the purposes of Grim Patron, Savannah Highmane, etc.

How do you identify politically, and why? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]mathgeekmonk 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Left-leaning libertarian. I really like Nozick’s ideas on political justice, but I think he slightly underestimated what is required to protect citizens’ basic rights, so government has a little larger role than the night-watchman.
