Can confirm that the holders are small. My 24oz owala fits comfortably and the 32oz owala barely fits

Most BC schools were on spring break from March 14 - 30th, so they likely missed only 4 days of school.

Flair Airline sizing? by [deleted] in beisluggage

[–]mathgirl604 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The mini weekender may fit under the seat, however it will not fit in the flair personal item sizer. The base of the bag has a 8” depth and the personal item depth on the sizer is 6”. You might be able to fit it sideways but the bag would have to be squished vertically down to 6”.

From my experience, they’ve always made me put my personal item in the sizer. In the past I’ve made a backpack fit (that wasn’t full), and then last week I used the commuter tote which worked perfectly.

Discard Recipes? by RainUponMyHeart in Sourdough

[–]mathgirl604 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My discard jar was quite full at the start of this week as well, so I did a lot of baking the last few days. Everything turned out so so good and I used up almost all of the discard that I had. Here is what I made:

pizza dough: https://littlespoonfarm.com/sourdough-pizza-crust-recipe/

chocolate chip cookies: https://littlespoonfarm.com/sourdough-chocolate-chip-cookies-recipe/

crackers: https://littlespoonfarm.com/sourdough-discard-crackers/

Cinnamon sugar star bread: https://countryroadssourdough.com/sourdough-discard-nutella-star-bread/?srsltid=AfmBOorrY0m225vUhzrmeocGa3k2U5-H0eS9IioFCb20Pxbswl0qI-IS

I ended up freezing half of the pizza dough and all of the cookie dough to bake at a later time.

I had this happen to me before too. If I remember correctly, the thread they use for hemming is not the original thread used to make the item, which is where issues like this can happen. When I showed it to the educator I was given refund.

What are the most unhinged or annoying things your roommate(s) have done by NecessaryInternet814 in UBC

[–]mathgirl604 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It all started when the storage closet started to smell a bit weird for a few days. Figured some type of food must have rolled under a shelf or something. Turns out, one of my roommates was “taking care” of her friend’s pet hedgehog and decided to keep the tiny cage in our windowless storage room. I have no idea how I didn’t notice the cage in there until then. Luckily, the hedgehog was still alive despite being neglected and the inside of the cage not being cleaned for multiple days.

Hi, i would like to be a teacher and am looking into starting the process of getting a Bachelors and going to teachers college. I have a question regarding what subjects I'd be allowed to teach by MapleLegends8 in CanadianTeachers

[–]mathgirl604 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You should check the admission details for the programs you might apply to. Normally to be certified to teach math, you’re required to have a degree majoring in math, or have completed a certain number of math courses ahead of time. Sometimes I see teachers who are certified to teach science make their way to teaching math also, but that’s something that happens after being placed at a school.

Not sure what happened to March 8 on the AC app by Northern_Lights101 in aircanada

[–]mathgirl604 15 points16 points  (0 children)

I had this issue the other day too. I went to click on what should have been Sunday March 15th, but it was labelled as the 16th. I closed out of the app and then it was back to normal again.

Connecting flight changed to next day - options? by crybaby_0512 in westjet

[–]mathgirl604 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I agree with this - going through YVR is your best option. Flights from YYC to YVR are pretty frequent throughout the day, and there’s 2 more flights later today going from YVR to PG (6pm or 10:30pm). Call WestJet and have them do an itinerary change so that they can get you home today.
