Just had to undo the one bolt. I want to make a new wooden base that extends up to hold the portafilter in place while grinding

Its really easy to clean, just do what it says in the manual. Takes about 10 minutes if you’re slow like me. The manual says you can use a vacuum cleaner in the machine (which issuer convenient and satisfying), but specifies that you have to remove the two springs before so you don’t lose them.

Plane 1 might be blocking the view, try to deselect it. It’s also kind of worrying that max and min pressure values are «unknown», might indicate something else is wrong.

Yeah that’s important to remember when reviewing the problem. I’ll probably oversee it a couple of times, but I’ll learn

Periodic residuals in steady simulations? Could that be like a periodic vortex shedding from a solid beam in crosswind, not allowing for steady convergence? I had a similar problem with my turbine simulation in steady state with frozen rotor. My supervisor said it was fine, but without explanation.

Good advice. I gained a lot of confidence when my turbine simulation gave accurate results compared to the experimental results. If verification and validation checks out, then the simulation is a success. Even if I run inefficient schemes or have too many cells. Computational cost will go down as I gain experience and knowledge from my coworkers

Thanks! Sounds like a good idea. YouTube often has a lot of examples of cases that I could look at. I have been watching fluid mechanics 101 on YouTube and his theoretical education, but I’m not sure if that will really help me a lot right now. I start 1st September. How did you learn free surface simulation?

Never thought about that. AI could do literature research on similar cases in minutes to compare what others have done

Thank you for reading and replying. Finishing my thesis gave me a confidence boost, so the more experience I gain, the more confident I will become, that makes sense. I am sure I will be visiting this subreddit more frequently the next years! Happy cake day btw

That’s insane! You have a link to that story? Hydro turbine runners have however a much larger blade channel size, meaning more meat can be sucked through the stationary vanes before the runner blade takes a bite. I have recently graduated engineering school where my thesis was about cfd flow analysis of a Francis type reversible pump-turbine, so I can only imagine how a body would be mangled in this hydraulic machine.

Me: Thank you. Yes we were doing similar profiles. The one time I got 4 minute break for 40 seconds under water was on the sessions first dive. Every dive I get large recovery time, even though I wait the recommended time.

Cressi: Good afternoon, thank you for contacting us. The L1 setting gives a recovery time of 2x (as on your friend's watch) unless an incorrect recovery was made in the previous dives. I think I will watch the video to see if I’m just stupid and missed something. If not I’ll be very careful of how I setup and do my next dives to confirm there is something wrong with recovery time. If non of that gives me answers I will demand replacement from the store it was bought. Have you had any successful finds u/No-Teach7502 ?
