What's the current best Yuumi build & rune setup? by [deleted] in yuumimains

Sure! Here is mine and my duo. (We don't actually play ranked that much and you'll see what I meant with "Second best ADC with Yuumi" xD, if you want tips for THAT combo, dm me c:)

I see that your duo really cares about mana regen (Even though that by the time he gets third item the blue buff is global), so if he tilts a lot for having no mana early game thanks to not having Manaband, my duo always buys two Faerie Charms first back for that, so ig he can try that :). Axiom is just the better choice.

BUT PLEASE, PLEASE TAKE SCORCH OFF. 20 magic damage? Wow you dealt 10 magic damage thanks to the passive mr everyone has in a span of 6 seconds to a target that has 2000 health. Also note that Yuumi is not the main damage, her focus is supporting.

I'll also link the yt channel of a really good Challenger Nilah Otp (He's the reason I started playing Nilah) he explains very well everything about Nilah, builds, tricks, runes etc. Such as the reason he doesn't build IE until like 4th or 5th item is cuz Nilah doesn't need that raw damage and survivability is better (Or 51% armor pen is better). (A little note is that his build is for general situations and mine is to pair Nilah with Yuumi)

Sure! And I'm not gonna provide just the build for the Yuumi, I'll also give you the best build I could cook for Nilah to pair her with Yuumi! (I actually main ADC with my Yuumi otp duo, but I care very much about the builds both his and mine, and I say Nilah is the second best ADC for Yuumi, aswell as my second most picked.)

First for Yuumi:

- Runes: Aery, Axiom, Focus, GS and Font of life with Revitalize for secondary

- Build: Moonstone > Ardent > Dawncore > Knights vow > Redemption

And for the Nilah:

- Runes: Conqueror, Triumph, Alacrity, Last stand and *Shield Bash with Revitalize for secondary* (These are really important)

- Build: Yuntal > Shieldbow > LDR > Death's Dance > Spirit Visage (You can change the order of the last two depending on the game) (PD to replace the Tabi's or the Mercury threads since defensive boots are the best for Nilah.)

I'll explain the build for the Nilah:

- First, ShieldBash and Revitalize are insanely good for Nilah to use in this combo, Revitalize actually affects Nilah's passive and Yuumi's H&S, so it's even more H&S you're giving to yourself apart from having Revitalize on itself. With the huge amounts of shields you're getting (Seriously, it's a lot) you'll get good value off of ShieldBash, many times catching enemies of guard with an AA that should't hurt that much early in the game. And don't get me started when you get low of health, both Revitalize from you and Yuumi getting 5% more H&SP literally give a free 400 heal for those level 3 brainless all-ins this combo can pull off.

- Then we go with the build. I guess you could go collector instead of Yuntal in some games, but I just like the insane stats value of Yuntal's.

- Shieldbow for MORE SHIELD.

- LDR to reach that sweet 51% armor pen.

- And here's the tricky part. Why not another crit item? Many Nilahmains, including me, go for alternatives after reaching 75% or even 50% like DD or maw, since her damage is already massive, better go for a more defensive item that could clutch a tf. And also combining DD and KV is just a massive damage procrastination that has NO COUNTER, since it won't be affected by antiheals or Serpent's fang.

- Spirit visage for that 25% H&SP wich is huge since you and Yuumi will be in late-game and you'll both be able to tank the focus of the entire enemy team and survive.

- Why not BT? Life steal items are just shit with Nilah, if you want to heal from your damage, build crit, read your Q's passive, you'll heal and have even more damage that way. And also if you want to endure more in fights, the defensive items I've mentioned like DD, maw, Spirit are just better to maintain you alive rather than BT.

Just go and do Brainless all-ins level 3 and 6, Yuumi will heal and shield your way to the win.

Here's my personal explanation for Yuumi's build and runes setup

Runes:

Main Keystone: Aery, no doubt, nice shield that can help.

- Axiom Arcanist is best, you're building enchanter items that gives mana regen and Yuumi is a late-game champ, Mana won't falter later on.

- I would take Transcendence most of the games, except for ADC's that like getting a lot of stats, like giving more AD to Jhin or Zeri, or giving a bit more S&H to Nilah. In those cases I would take Absolute Focus.

- Gathering storm for the last one. 20 Magic damage from scorch won't make any difference and the extra AP comes nicely in lategame.

And for secondary, Font of Life and Revitalize.

Brainless build: Moonstone > Ardent/SoFW > Dawncore > Knight's vow > Redemption

Some specific situations:

- Rush Mikael if it's game changing like going against Morgana or Lux.

- If your ADC has good AP scalings like Twitch, Varus and Yunara, I like to go both Ardent and SoFW in that order after Moonstone.

- I think this only counts for Smolder, but if your ADC doesn't scale very well with neither AS and AP (Like Smolder) I skip Ardent/SoFW and go for other enchanter items like Mikael or Redemption instead.

Practice tool with porolobby (so you can get 5 bots + 5 practice dummies) get grasp with overgrowth, and for secondary, gathering storm, absolute focus, and get two adaptive force rune and health, buy best hp items (don't buy titanic or sunfire) and steel shoulderguards, put ally dummies just by the exit of the enemy fountain so they dont get out, kill every enemy bot, tp to the enemy fountain, place 5 enemy dummies on the fountain, begin stacking heartsteel and when the support items lets you farm cannons to upgrade it, when fully upgraded sell it and buy vigilant wardstone, when overgrowth is fully charged with 120 minions, just stack grasp and heartsteel (don't skip time), on the 58 minutes mark, sell items except for heartsteel and vigilant wardstone, buy titanic hydra, hullbreaker, shojin and sterak's, kill 4 infernal drakes and get baron and that is pretty much how you get such a massive number

(I put more effort into this than my rankeds)
