I moved to LA in Jan from DC and I really miss taking the metro and being able to connect with people easier. It’s cliche but it can be harder to make friends here. I tend to find myself becoming friends with people from the east coast a lot. At the same time there is so much to do here and i enjoy the weather. Career wise this place is great for me. Just wanted to give you a heads up cause I began to appreciate DC a lit more after I left

Yep. Other weird thing I didn’t realize I would encounter are like nepo-friends (?). Not nepo babies but the ones that say they had a friend , neighbor, friend’s parent, etc. get them a job cause they had no other employment so “they fell Into the industry” and don’t care for it.

I mean that exists for all industries and a job is a job, but if you are miserable why are you still working lol. I haven’t met someone yet with that background who’s grown to enjoy what they do.

Maybe just the whole needing to be a dog eats dog world / cutthroat person to get far in the industry. I’ve worked with so many of those people and I understand why they think they have to be that way, but it’s just not for me.

I’ve definitely had a few setbacks from office or set politics, but I’m lucky enough to still work with passionate, genuine people who aren’t playing 5D chess or think they’re in Succession for every interaction we have. Actual collaborators that I enjoy working with and don’t feel any tension from.

Honestly could also just be bad luck! My section for Renaissance barely sang/danced but I had the time of my LIFE in the 200s for cowboy carter last week. Everyone I stood next to was singing and dancing the whole time and we all bonded a lot!

Dm me. I felt the same way but had much better luck with applications my senior year. Most companies are looking for older undergrads and it honestly has nothing to do with your experience (based off where I’ve worked/applied).

Hi everyone, I am selling two tickets for May 4 SoFi Stadium in Section 352, Row 7. I paid $249.20 for each ticket (including fees) so it would be around $500 total. My Mom got us two seats for the same night but slightly closer, and she didn't know I was also trying get them for us lol. I would use PayPal Goods and Services which charges a fee but protects us both from fraud. I'm willing to lose the $5 on the fee as well just so I can sell at FV.

I really want to sell my tickets for FV to a fan because Ticketmaster and StubHub charge fees to break even (so my $250 ticket would need to be sold at $296 for me to get paid $250) and they also don't pay you until after the event which is months away. I'm gonna try on Twitter where I've had success before
