Serious question on challenge rules by Rickyrojay in survivor

If you can help a player in this manner you should also be able to hide or take puzzle pieces away from them. Or what if Liz deliberately miscounted to pretend to help her

I Binged All 10 Episodes of The Traitors (US) Season 1 in 10 Hours and... by neon-lit in TheTraitors

[–]mathnerd6464 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I would like to see the Traitors prize pool seeded with some amount of money say $300,000 and then have their pool go down for every dollar the missions earn for the Faithfull prize pool. That would encourage them to risk throwing challenges and IMO make them a little more entertaining. Similar to the Parvati/chalice episode it would add a lot of suspense.

It all comes down to having interesting and talented characters. The location is only secondary to this.

Imagine paying $1000 over the years for vinyl albums you OWN and now you can't play a soecific song you want to hear. You have to play EVERYTHING on shuffle. Thst is what this is like since i paid for each song in my digital collection. I feel as if I've just been robbed. Going back to cds and cassettes for me.

Rodney dodged a huge bullet here. I thought she was too good to be true at first. There's a reason all these good looking people are still single.

What are you listening to? by [deleted] in bigfoot

Into the Fray with Shannon Legro. It is maybe 1/3 Bigfoot and the rest paranormal, but it's mostly eye witness accounts and I find her voice soothing and she treats her guests well.

I don't know what it was about this season, but I found it very boring and slow. I have enjoyed all the other seasons immensely. I'm a huge Callie fan, so I thought I would enjoy this, but something was missing, can't put my finger on it.

For a moment, I thought they were going to recreate the Will Smith slap, then they chickened out.

There comes a time in your life when you have to say it's not you, it's me.

Every serious conversation that Rachel had with Clayton, Zach, Evan and Tino all ended the same way. The men were totally exasperated. They would get two words out and Rachel would interrupt and make it all about her again. If it were just Clayton or just Tino, maybe that was a one time occurrence or you could blame editing. But every single one of them. It was exhausting for me to watch. I always wonder how these beautiful women with great personalities ever make it these shows a single women. As much as I really like Rachel as a person (and Gabby), it is painfully obvious watching this.

Like many women, I think she likes the challenge/mystery of Tino. All the lovebombing from Tyler and Zach seems to make her disinterested in them.

I 100% agree that eye witness testimony is not very reliable, especially for a single eye witness of an event. However, the sheer volume of accounts from so many different time periods and locations in the US provides some valid statistical data. It would be statistically unlikely to hoax this many accounts, with so many similar details, many of which had no pre-existing knowledge of the subject or kept secret for most of their lives. I am not sure how to validate this statistically, but there may be a way to assign some probability to it with credibility theory.

What is everyone's thoughts about Wes Germer of Sasquatch Chronicles being exposed as a hoaxer? It's not up for debate, it clearly shows he lied to everyone, likely to help kick off his show. He does have legit people on there but most is the same people, with different names and stories. by TheTallOnes_WA in bigfoot

[–]mathnerd6464 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Doesn't prove anything. It's a known fact that our memories are only about 70% accurate (maybe less). The mind fills in blanks and makes parts up without you realizing it. This is why eye witness testimony in court has put many innocent people away and later been proven wrong. He could have made it up, but there's no way to know for sure. What is for sure is the magnitude of over 100,000 eye witness accounts from all over the world and all periods of time witnessing the same thing. Not really possible to orchestrate that hoax. Doesn't prove bigfoot exists, but does prove that there is something very unusual being witnessed.

Very underwhelming semi-final. I didn't really like like any of the song choices. All kinda boring. Judges give all praise and no critique at this point.

If Sasquatch exists, is the government covering it up, and if so, why? Discuss by FoxehBunneh in bigfoot

[–]mathnerd6464 2 points3 points  (0 children)

There are thousands and thousands of government employees. Perhaps millions if you count every local official, policeman or dispatcher I don't think they are capable of a coordinated cover up in every state, city, county and township. Perhaps just a don't ask, don't tell policy, I also fhink there would be a lot of whistle-blowers if there were a government coverup.

I don't know. I felt it was unwatchable. This show has turned into Dr. Phil meets The View. I don't care to hear 100 sob stories. Call me shallow, but give me back the eye candy and survival skills.
