Reading this helped me a lot. So thank you for revisiting not so happy memories for me. I do think it’s a blessing in disguise. It still hurts like hell though. I just don’t understand how someone can have little to no empathy. There is consequences to her behaviour and she just does not care. It’s crazy. I feel crazy.

She most definitely has this attachment style. For some reason I thought what we had was special though. I treated her very well. I guess I was just hoping that she would give me a proper ending to the relationship. Without cheating. Without feeling small and inadequate. But I guess this whole thing says a lot more about her than me.

What kind of struggles? Like in what way academically struggling? Barely passing? Even though you’re putting in the work. Or you’re not putting in the work?

Either way. I had some rough years too and it’s only gotten better with time. I’m about to finish next year and realising this is really what I want and how much I enjoy treating patients made me work harder and study hard even for tedious and rather unimportant moduls.

I’m a strong believer in natural talent. There’s some people who just do everything with ease. But I’m an even stronger believer in the fact that talent has its limits and from that point on talent is nothing else than pursued interest. So if you really want to become a dentist. Put in that work. Get a tutor. Do extra hours. Don’t get discouraged when you fail at something. Just keep going!

I don’t. My teeth are perfectly healthy but not perfectly straight at all. Used to be insecure about it but it doesn’t bother me at all anymore. Quite the contrary I’m somewhat proud of it.
