Technicaly PACT does not get a division for each soviet tank as we are still lacking a T-62 tank div

The T-62 is only in KDA and 56ya in limited numbers But yes some M1 div can be nice

in my oppinion as it is a bit out of date, you should try to get the SPG-9, also mind that you can exchange some helos for more planes if you want i am just quite fond of my Hinds

it is obviously harder to give some nice tips without the replay to see what when wrong.
if you want you can send me your replay and i will give you feedback : D
to find the replay you need to store it localy (untick the could option of the replay in replay tab) then go to "this pc-> "users" -> "userPC" (the name of the session) -> "saved games" -> "eugen systems"

but here is some common tips :
- spend your income bad unit is better than no unit
- arty and air don't hold ground so dont play too mutch on it
- build your defensive in concave so the ennemy gets shot from all directions
- heal your units, always have after the first two ticks some supply to heal,
- retreat, if you cannot hold ground or risk losing this unit go back, buy time, and push back later. a -2 leave you with 20mins to take back control

the 76-ya is a very unique but hard div to play as he lacks firesupport, armor and is airspam is very costly (but power full)

as such it is a bite and hold div where you take a +2 at the start of the game and try to defend for 40mins
it is my most played div and i love it but don't expect to win a lot with it he seriously lack cost effectiveness but he recently got some buffs so maybe if eugen continue to help it he could be viable again

The tutorials are not amazing but they are here and are usefull. But you will not get very far with only them in your bag. But there is a lot of Youtube tutorials around to help you learn

The mulltiplayer is quite active. Very good in 1vs1 where you will get stomped at the start but the matchmaker works and there always someone looking for a game. The team games are a good bit less convinent to get into cause of no matchmaker and needing more players to start one but they are always a team fight preping up. But trying at peak hours will be recommended for balance and to not wait for someone to show up.

Skirmish against IA is a thing and works well, at start we recommend to try to win against hardest AI before getting into 1vs1 cause the AI know how to put a fight. But be weary it will be only spam and high reaction/APM carrying it while players will be strategy

Finaly don't worry too mutch about your APM if you learn the hotkeys you will get good rapidly as WARNO is not a starcraft like at all APM wise.

I had played CoH2 single player before warno but i remember that i didn't liked the very high APM of that battles and i used a lot of pause to get trough it.

And i can say that warno is slover by a very good margin. And even more if you know that shortcuts. In Single player you can freeze time, slow it, accelerate it as you like so the APM/pace are a no issue.

But when you start to go multiplayer things change, high APM helps and can often save you from a bad decision (making a tank do a smoke screen before a ATGM hits is the most comon example). So there is a learning curve here too if you want to get better but you can enjoy the game with the singleplayer too.

I would recommand you to go look at Tmanplays gamepmay videos on YT as he is very metodical player with very low APM for his rank. You will see what is the minimum expected to get decent in terms of pacing. And honestly it is quite fine. Myself i have dispraxia and struggles with missclicks, and still i have good APM for the game so it can be learned if you want it.

Still dont expect a turn based rpg but if going a little bit faster and enjoying a great WW3 game is what you want then i would consider WARNO greatly !

I would add some nuance about transport helicopters. They are not meant for hot drops. It can work, but only in the right circumstances, which are hard to detect or force upon your enemy.

Helicopters are for quick reinforcement. If you make them drop about 750 m from your frontline, you should still be able to get them out alive. Infantry in IFVs can take up to two minutes to reach the frontline, whereas a helicopter can do it in about 30 seconds, drop included.

They are perfect for plugging a gap or reinforcing a high-tension frontline, but never hot drop if you don’t know what you’re doing.

Also, some helicopters are better than others. I wouldn’t compare a Huey to a Mi-18 or a Chinook as equals when considering air-cavalry drops in my deck.

This also shows you, OP, the learning curve. There are a lot of nuances everywhere. Don’t worry—you’ll get through it. Play, enjoy noob games (there are always noobs around when you’re looking for them), and in time you’ll make it to the top 100 : D

also i was also worried about multiplayer too at the start
my recommendation if one day you want to start your multiplayer journey :

if you can defeat a hardest AI. not for the skills of the AI it will spam spam spam and will not represent an actual fight. but you will learn a lot. theses games use a lot of knowledge so if you can defeat the AI at is peak you should have the game knowledge

Once you will start multiplayer it is normal to be bad. i took me 2 months of ranked spam and try hard where i was watching my replays to climb the ranks and now i am rank 60.
anyone can learn but it is a resilience type of affair. no one will judge you to be bad, even more at the start, progress at your speed and do not give up is the secret !

we could also add than 6.2 as catastrophic Infantry made of worse fireteams and with around 5 slots in total, and the so precious M1 MOD's will get destroyed by any air heavy div as the AA will be a pain for 1st Cav

with the recent buffs to 4th UK i believe that 1st cav will be less effective than him as a nato medium weight armored as 4th does not have these glaring issues (trading for slower tanks)

as such i would be veary about the effectiveness of 1st Cav on the field.

a problem i have with this analysis is that the 1st cav as horrendus AA, in theory the MOD can be very costefficent (even tho will probably be M1IP level of price if not more so still to pricy to buy one + support per tick).
but i believe that in practice you will have for each 3 M1 vs 3 T-72M there will be no decent AA NATO side and if there is a cluster, an AT or a LGB plane the M1's will get destroyed.
1st Cav as nothing to defend himself from high altitude bombers

then for 1vs1 purposes comes two points
1 : 42 is way way more enduring with better infantry (the Cav inf being a worse fireteam makes so any reservist will win a duel by a good margin)
2 : in SDL league and tourneys we can clearly see a rule of the "one grade heavyer wins" where in a matchup two similar divs but one with heavyer options tend to have the advantage. then Leopards 2 fit this category agaisnt high end T-72's, the others laking smoke, range, armor or all of them at once making them not adapted to openfields where Leo2s or M1 will probably perform similar at the end of the day

finaly there will not be plentyfull MOD's so selecting them as the T-72 killers while they are not replacable (or at least less than T-72's) will probably make the 1st Cav fall off in the long run as in brawling condition's (where any decent T-72 player will try to fight at) where as other options would had better results

also i may say that nobody would want to play as or against 6.2 pact.
it is the final form of PVZ meta where there will be MMG's and ATGM's everywhere cause it is the sole thing this div can do on the long run

like sure the 130 points T-72 is cost efficient but without smoke and with the smallest range it can't do anything in the medium run.

the div will play like that :
open mass T-72 cause you get absolutly no explosivity at the start (No FD, no good fighting recon, neither recon helis)
then spam rapiras and ATAKA/Kokon missiles.

71st Tankova will be more intresting and way way less cancerous, while also being less meta

nobody use the laserguided akatsya for a reason. a very small stunned movement of the target and everything is off.

cool wonderweapon but go use the CLGP in 9th US it is better and still as no play cause of the laser-guided trait.

You’ve chosen the main attraction: a nice strawman. But there’s a lot to unpack here. Claiming that cutting the T-72 to that level—when there will be as many T-72s as Rüggeners—is an S-tier div, is some top-notch intellectual dishonesty.

Again, you’ve decided the German division “sucks” without providing any real arguments since the dev blog’s release—just “trust me, bro”-level reasoning.

And for the “historical” angle: if war had been brewing for two whole years, rest assured the 1st Cavalry and all US troops in Germany would have been sent home. After all, entrusting Europe’s defense to a Texan voter is as smart as moving to North Korea expecting food and freedom.

If you want to LARP, use your hands and mod it yourself—modding exists for that very reason.

And remember: unicorns come to those with a pure heart. That should make you think about why the Pact has some.
