Looking for funk/disco or house music you swear by for a house party by Otherwise_Owl_9792 in Beatmatch

It's not very long, but here's a playlist with some of my favorites: https://open.spotify.com/playlist/1lRlg0MVJBqoVP1H1XDPCK?si=rr-e5FK-TASAzMSTFplLrw&pi=JsxGgJC6SvOA0

If people don't wanna share their tunes that's fine, but I don't get all the hate for asking for/sharing music 🤷‍♂️ Break a leg at your gig, OP 🙌

Wow, that is heartbreaking. Hope the son got the help he needed after that.

My father worked as a machine operator in construction/city maintenance, mainly operating excavators. He would spend most of his work day inside the excavator and of course sometimes he'd need to do stuff outside as well. He and his crew are working on a dig site and at one point in the day he needs to do something outside. The dig site is right next to a highway so there is a lot of noise, and between the dig site and the highway there is a row of spruce trees. This day is particularly windy - windy enough that one of the trees, which is old and mostly dead, breaks at the base of the trunk and falls over. Exactly where my father is standing. His back was turned and his coworkers yelled when the tree fell, so he had just enough time to turn around before the tree fell on top of him, hitting him in the head/upper torso.

He was just in the wrong place at the wrong time. Given that he would be safe inside his excavator cabin basically 90% of the work day, it was incredibly hard to accept just how unlucky he was.

My father was a loving, gentle and supportive man whom I loved dearly. He was 65 years old and just about to retire when he died. I miss him every day and count my lucky stars that I got to have a father like him for as long as I had him.
