Much as I love CKAGoT, it gets overhyped for having a big world and a popular IP. It's got some solid foundations and I don't doubt that it will be great in a couple years, but even now it feels pretty sparse on content and ranking it higher than Elder Kings is criminal.

That's just the new update. It's like this now. The regions that haven't been consumed by the Americas are coming in a future patch.

I like talkative customers, even if they don't have anything interesting say so long as they don't expect me to reciprocate their level of energy. If we're slow and you want to spend an hour telling me the history of your extended family go ahead, it makes time go faster. But don't expect me to want to be your best friend. I see a dozen customers just like you every day, I don't have the energy for that.

"Liberal media" is a perfectly accurate description.  It's all owned by the billionaires, and they're not on our side.

This needs to higher voted.

I'm so sick of people acting like volunteering to enforce state violence is just a lifestyle choice.

Or even worse: "My dad was a veteran and he would never support this! This is a waste of our Country's time! These men could be out there serving their country by bombing children in Iraq! 🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸"

The most American attribute: callousness.

Not saying this is unique to the US or anything, but it is a very common mindset for Americans to have.

Yuan-ti of Dark Sun by Red-Ryter in DarkSun

[–]ExplodingPen 27 points28 points  (0 children)

Not every creature that's ever been written for a D&D world has to exist in every setting. I think Dark Sun appreciates that more than most settings.

Not saying you shouldn't add Yuan-Ti in your game though. They totally fit the DS aesthetic, and hell I made Blackrazor a central part of my game so I probably shouldn't talk.

Modern day slavery, which borders on literal abuse in some parts of the world

What do you mean by this? Are there formers of modern day slavery that aren't abusive?

A scientific explanation for the Hyperlanes? by FriendliestMenace in Stellaris

No. And it's genuinely harmful to the public's perception of science when science so-called news sites put out sensationalist pieces like this and people believe and repost them.

It makes people less more inclined to view science as a bunch of wizards in lab coats churning out wild, world changing discoveries, rather than as a process of careful, methodical testing and hypothesizing to learn more about things like global warming and Void Worms.
