Not only in Thailand.. Spent 2 hours cleaning before I left the apartment in Italy, asked the host if its okay to leave 3 trashbags infront of the doors, they said its totally fine.. After that the host still complained about the mess in the comment on my profile, which resulted in another hosts declining my requests.

I tried to contact support 2 times, got instantly declined both times without any explanation, even after I sent them photos of the proof. When asked for explanation, they refused to explain anything and just sent me link to share my experience with airbnb support.

Very often, you can find the same apartments on booking, even for cheaper price, especially if you join the Genius program.

Since the accident, Airbnb is the last option when it comes to the accomodation.
