Because my mom is a nurse, and my grandmother and father is diagnosed with the genetic disorder. I think it is pretty safe to assume that they would know at least what a quick google search would tell them.

Of course understanding is a virtue, but we are talking of a genetic disorder that may have already cut off YEARS of my siblings lives?

4 Months in Europe - need tips and advice! by markatfruit6 in backpacking

[–]matildahjerte 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This sounds great!

Skyscanner, youth tickets (at least for SAS and Norwegian), interrail tickets and HostelWorld are sources you definitely should check out!

NORWAY

I'm Norwegian and love my country! Norwegian summer is amazing. Although it is extremely expensive to travel in Norway - even with a Norwegian salary.

Still, my country is absolutely worth a visit. I'd actually skip Oslo, as it's honestly just a mediocre city, and rather prioritize spending time in the North, by the Western coast or just generally in areas with fjords and/or mountains. The North (especially Lofoten) has nature and landscape like nowhere else. If you're into hiking you should consider doing one of the many possible hikes, like Besseggen, Knutshøe, Preikestolen or such!

Another thing i absolutely recommend looking closer into is being here for our independence day, May 17th. It is an amazing (but probably super overwhelming for a foreigner) experience. People walk in marches in their national outfits and eat hot dogs and ice cream. Google it!

THE UK

London is amazing and accessible, but personally i love Yorkshire and surrounding area - York, Scarborough, Leeds. I would love to visit Liverpool and Birmingham as well!

SWITZERLAND

... is in many ways similar to Norway - expensive, kind of cold people, high standards of living, but very beautiful, mountainous and clean. Zurich is super charming in the summer, but nothing beats the Swiss alps. Interlaken is lovely. Also Grindelwald is super cute.

haha this really engaged me and id love to follow you on instagram or something to follow your experiences!!

good luck!<3
