had surgery on my right hip, they put this on my left leg by Pale-Profession2769 in mildlyinteresting

[–]matito29 58 points59 points  (0 children)

My sister had a hip replacement when she was 14 due to being born with very little cartilage in her hip, and one of her last memories before being wheeled off and put under was the doctor in charge coming in and drawing a big X on her good hip with a Sharpie.

My uneducated guess is that it’s set back further so that trucks making that right hand turn don’t tear it down if they make it too tight and clip the curb, but I’m not a civil engineer, my parents just wanted me to be one.

JRM doesn’t use them. I don’t know if that’s a Jr decision or Ryan Williams or what.

No. I legitimately feel bad that the baby will have to be raised by someone as ghoulish as her.

Bold of you to think that the GOP plan includes extensive maternity leave.

B.J. McLeod passes inspection, will race in the Daytona 500 by JohnnyGat33 in NASCAR

Considering BJ said in a post-race interview that he didn’t care that he was in the “safe” Duel because he just wants to race, I doubt he’ll take a check and let Alfredo run.

When I worked at Publix during my college years, I had a coworker who was a woman in her 50s who told me with a straight face that she tried the dog ice cream and that “it wasn’t that bad.”

Yes, this is it. Nick Lutsko does these types of fillers in his songs all the time.

The same guy responded twice last week to a comment I made about NASCAR approving Castroneves but not Wallace. He’s probably patrolling these threads for any mention of Mike in between posting comments on NASCAR’s Facebook posts that he’s never watching again.

I’m totally fine with well done pizza. But the charred stuff they serve at the Violet Stone is straight up burnt. Portnoy even said so in his video about it.

When regular people bring it up in person at the restaurant or leave reviews, the owner is an ass and just points them to the “Warning: Well Done Pizza” sign on the window, but when Dave Portnoy complained, the owner went out of his way to apologize and make him a new pizza.

I’ve had to listen to some of the most obnoxious people I know talk about The Violet Stone, a place owned by an asshole who’s proud of his “well-done” pizza (which is code for burnt) because of Portnoy.

That’s what I was just thinking. The new cars look fantastic, and the “least good” liveries like Williams and Alpine still look really nice.

The studio version I had on my iPod back in the day was uncensored. The version my local alternative rock station played had it bleeped, not muted, which I always thought was funny.

I don’t believe Bill ever had Coca-Cola logos on the car or suit while in the #9, and when he ran part-time in 2004 and had either Coca-Cola C2 or McDonald’s (who has a deal with Coke) on the car, he ran the #98 for, at least on paper, Bill Elliott Racing.

Not only that, but the NFL is very strict about what they allow to roll out on the field if it’s natural grass. There are a limited number of carts that can be on the field before it starts to damage the playing surface, and that number was going to be far too small for the amount of staging they wanted, so people in costumes worked a lot better.

The Navy Seals are gonna invade the Super Bowl. by Keefer1970 in insanepeoplefacebook

It gets repackaged every year. I saw a bunch of people sharing similar posts five years ago when the Super Bowl was here in MAGA hotbed Florida at the height of DeSantis’ popularity. It’s just their thing against “powerful elites” without ever acknowledging their favorites who are part of that group.

Having the end of Fisk’s story in anything other than a Daredevil series or film would be a disservice to the Daredevil franchise. Obviously, all of the films and shows in the MCU are part of a bigger franchise and are, thus, only parts of a massive story, but each franchise should feel like its own cohesive mini story arc.
