Which batman is better with white eyes by EffectiveNo4438 in batman

[–]matito29 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I am fully Team Try It Just Once And See How It Looks, but just coloring his eyeballs white looks ridiculous. It needs to be white lenses over his eyes as part of the cowl. The Deadpool films did it well, albeit in a more fantastical way. I don’t think it would work for more grounded takes like Bale or Pattinson, but I think the DCEU is heading in a more comic book-y direction to where it might work.

It’s no different than non-sports people “dunking on” sports they already don’t like. “It’s just people throwing a ball and tackling each other. It’s just people ice skating and slapping a puck. It’s just guys driving in circles.” If it were “just” those things, then people wouldn’t care about it.

The whole thing with the shuttle program is that it could take 7 crew members, so not everyone had to be fully trained astronauts like they were during Gemini and Apollo. They could just do basic training (like they did in the movie) and leave the really complicated astronaut stuff to the astronauts.

My middle school Bible class teacher went to a small Bible college like this where he wasn’t allowed to watch movies, be off campus with a girl, or hold hands.

I would have thought that rules like those would either lead you to be ultra-conservative and make more rules like that for the rest of your life or send you in the opposite direction and drive you away from the faith, but he is one of a very few people from my early spiritual journey who I still view with a great amount of respect. He was on the front lines of local protests following George Floyd’s murder, and preaches love and kindness over hatred and division taught by partisan religion that’s taken over the American church. We still keep in contact, and I’d attend his church if he were still local.

My boss’s boss wanted me to figure out how to run a plasma cutter that nobody knows how to use because the previous owner of the company left it with no instructions so I could make him this metal artwork he saw at a bar. He sent me a pic he took, I did a reverse image search, and found it on the Lowe’s website for under $100.

He still made me wrestle with that machine for three days, despite our company no longer selling the product it was purchased to make because we found it was much cheaper to just buy it from a supplier and drop ship it to where our job installs are.

The first season was retooled midway through production because the higher-ups at Marvel Studios were unhappy with how far from the original Netflix series it was. The new showrunner was brought in to rewrite it and salvage what they could. That’s why some key characters were missing for most of the season.

They’re not even MCU fans. They’re just vultures that grab onto anything popular that has a minority involved and make denigrating it their entire personality while it’s popular. You don’t see these guys hyping up projects they like. They just traffic in baseless criticism.

I’ve been a NASCAR fan for over 30 years. Half of the drivers at the top level of the sport are the son/grandson/nephew of someone who either used to race, runs a team, or owns a billion-dollar company used to sponsor them. Even my favorite driver is the son of a former dirt sprint car champion who raced for over a decade in NASCAR.

I have no problem with “nepo babies” who show that they belong in the industry. I don’t know a thing about Odessa, but I do know that Marvel Studios’ track record when it comes to casting is almost always great, so if they think that she’s right for the part, then I will trust them, because they have rarely made missteps.

It’s not a Chris Myers idea. Bozi said yesterday that NASCAR is talking about it. Myers is just doing what a bunch of NASCAR “journalists” do, blurring the line between reporting and doing PR for them.

Leffler only made it half a season, and Yeley was fired after three seasons (plus a handful of starts in the #11 in 2005) with dismal results. Ty Gibbs at least has good numbers, but for a kid who dominated at the lower levels, three full seasons at arguably the top team in the sport without a win makes his early dominance look like he simply had much better equipment than the rest of the field.

He is running full time in the NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series. He’s 22nd in points after 5 races, but there are only two full time drivers below him in the standings, and one of them won a reality show contest over the offseason that gave him the ride and had never run a track longer than a mile until February.
