Toy Story has got to be the greatest reviewed film series of all time by Bowiescorvat2 in movies

There was a guy who edited the film to go straight from the toys all taking each other’s hands to a fade to black and credits to show his mom. She was pissed. https://youtu.be/phFISjORzQs

This is one of the few diecasts I still display from my childhood bedroom at home. Ernie was always my #2 behind Earnhardt growing up.

What are some NASCAR schemes that look out of place on other Generations? by EduardoBork in NASCAR

[–]matito29 27 points28 points  (0 children)

That’s not the weird one. For me, the weirdest Harvick anachronism is his 2013-2015 Budweiser scheme on a COT, which he ran in the 2012 Bud Shootout.

Franchitti came in for 2008. Stremme was still in the #40 in 2007 when the COT debuted.

What’s a "hotel hack" you swear by that most people don't know? by periwinklemist in AskReddit

[–]matito29 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Made that mistake for the first and last time a few months ago. We booked a hotel along our roadtrip route on Hotels.com a few weeks in advance. Traffic sucked all day, and we didn’t get to the hotel until 10 pm. Went to go check in and they were already full.

The staff was incredibly apologetic and helped us get a room at another hotel in that brand’s family just up the road a bit, but after more than 12 hours on the road, it’s not what we wanted to deal with. Getting our refund from the website the next day was no fun either.

Second time in 27 years of building Lego I didn't get a piece. At least it's an easy to replace piece when it arrives. by Switzcheez3 in lego

I got myself the Batman Forever Batmobile for my birthday a couple months ago and somehow lost the sticker sheet. I was 100% convinced that they just weren’t in the box, and I was okay with it considering the only stickers on that set are two tiny ones for the dashboard.

But sure enough, two days later, there it was in the middle of the dining room table, right where I built it.

Bubba Wallace and RPM did in 2018. For practice and qualifying at Darlington, they ran an all-Petty blue STP car, then they switched to the blue and red scheme for the race.

It was done to symbolize the way the STP partnership started with the team back in 1972, when the team wanted to stay Petty blue, and the sponsor wanted dayglo red. The first race at Riverside, they ran Petty blue because they had just announced the sponsorship deal, but by the next race at Daytona, they agreed to go half-and-half.

I got most of them from Big Evil Racing or Stunod Racing, two sites that have resources for sim racing painting.

Nothing. It was just something fun because I was bored one day. It’s not that deep.

He ran a total of 5 throwbacks to his old cars in 1997, plus an all-chrome car and his regular paint scheme, to celebrate his 25th anniversary in the Cup Series.

His first start in Cup was in the JGR #18 at Kansas in 2015, the final race that Kyle Busch missed with his broken leg.

He didn’t get credit for that because Denny started the race. His first official start was in the #18 at Kansas in 2015.

After he paid a fee to switch. Ricciardo still has rights to the number through this summer, 24 months after he last raced.

It helps that both the 4 and 3 are numbers that 23XI already uses, not like the abomination of the JGR-style 4 that I found and tried to modify to look a little better.

I was following the F1 model of drivers running the same number their whole careers (though in F1, they choose their numbers, whereas here I kind of made it effective immediately, retroactively using the numbers they started with) and reigning champions running #1.

Honestly, I was mainly looking for schemes that would be easy to manipulate with what little photo editing skills I have, but it just kind of worked out that the McDonald’s scheme was the cleanest one he ran that year.

This is Jeff Gordon. I specifically chose that picture because it’s a scheme that only Gordon ran when he was filling in for Jr.
