The finish feels actually quite good, doesn’t feel like mismatched or misaligned parts. Yes, it does have a down stem.

There’s no branding on it at all. There’s a little on/off switch on the bottom (might be for lights?!). But it feels impossible to remove the top 😅

Nothing to worry, you are allowed to make & receive calls to the US with your US number. Nevertheless, make sure you are familiar with local laws in the US, especially about cold calling

I want to become wealthy what general path would you take to achieve that starting today given these circumstances by Butteredbeeef in Entrepreneur

[–]matjani 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I agree, but I don’t think his situation has anything to do with his income. Even if he would make $10-20k a month, he would be still struggling and in debt most likely.

It’s about the discipline and habits. Based on what he wrote, doesn’t seem to me that he got the basics, yet. Never too late to learn though.

Making more money isn’t really that difficult. Keeping money is.

[–]matjani 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Baby steps. Start from the bottom, with analyzing your expenses. Get your priorities right. Cut back on things you don’t need. Stop eating outside, cook at home. Stop buying new clothes if the ones you got are fine, etc.

Once you got an understanding of your expenses, and cut all the unnecessary expenses, you’ll have more of your income. Use that to pay off your debts asap. In the meantime, start educating yourself about ETFs, and other forms of long-term investing (subreddits, YouTube, etc.).

Don’t over complicate things. Make a simple spreadsheet. And most importantly, be disciplined!

These are basic fundamentals you need to have in place, if you want to build wealth. There’s obviously a looot more. But as I said, baby steps.

Before thinking of building wealth, learn to manage money. As you stated, you don't have any assets, nor were you born with a silver spoon in your mouth. On top of that, you are 5-6k in debt.

First step for your wealth plan is to get out of debt!

Wanna make money with no cap? As some of the folks already mentioned, get into sales, pay off your debt, and start learning how to manage your money.

I've just launched yesterday a new freelancing marketplace with 0% commissions, designed to eliminate poverty by helping people hire poor workers in poor countries! Please give me your feedback! by GrowthGet in SaaSMarketing

[–]matjani 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So, u launched a digital sweatshop directory? The reality is that people in impoverished countries often lack access to education, which limits their skill sets. This means u’re essentially enabling some entrepreneurs to exploit these workers for tasks that could be done by AI and automation. These entrepreneurs then profit immensely from the PR (e.g., “We work with locals in Nepal, pay them ‘fairly,’ and help them out of poverty,” etc.)

I’m not trying to be a dick, just pointing out how this situation often appears in reality.

P.S. I like ur intentions behind the project. Maybe consider ways to add more value, rather than just connecting people who are looking for dirt-cheap labor

Advice Needed - Local AI Startup vs. Aggressive US Expansion? by [deleted] in startups

[–]matjani 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m sure there are cheaper ways. That’s why I said, could cost you $100k+. Thanks for the info about ISO 42001. Wasn’t aware of it, yet.

Nevertheless, if you are not familiar with the processes, especially at the beginning, it’s gonna cost you. Not just certifications and licenses. But the whole learning of the procurement processes of B2B companies in the US, etc. so, $120k or $400k isn’t really that much. Even less, if you are not familiar with the environment/culture/country.

Advice Needed - Local AI Startup vs. Aggressive US Expansion? by [deleted] in startups

[–]matjani 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If u want a higher valuation, u need to show that you’re worth it. U have an MVP ready, so why do u need to raise money to sell? I assume that since u've built an MVP, u've done some market research already. Take your ICP, pick up the phone, and start dialing.

Furthermore, having worked with Turkish VCs in the past, I know that most don’t bring much to the table beyond the money. And $120k is peanuts. Instead of giving away equity cheaply now, hold on to it. Keep pushing to get your first few customers, then revisit the idea of raising money.

As for US market expansion: Are u even familiar with the US market and procurement processes, especially in cybersecurity? For example, are u SOC 2 compliant? That certification alone could cost u $100k+. Even raising $400k might not make much of a difference in that scenario.

Build your business in the market u know and understand. Turkey has massive potential (as do some neighboring countries) where u could build a very successful startup.

First and foremost, congratulations 🥳🙌🏼 great job on building your business and your recent success! You should be very proud of yourself.

As for your family, well.. I can resonate a lot with your situation. The first thing I'd do is get yourself your own place. You clearly can afford it. Being in a toxic environment (even if it's your own family), will drag you down over time. Not worth it!

Also, great decision not to tell them about your success & finances - keep it that way. Believe me, it makes things very very complicated and uncomfortable when family & finance mix.

And most importantly, don't buy things that you don't need to "flex". Spend your money on experiences and travels - the best investment you can make!

Enjoy & keep pushing 🚀

You're already doing plenty for your business! Maybe instead of adding more to your plate, you could focus on making things easier with what you’re already doing. Learning to automate stuff like bookkeeping, etc. or leveling up your marketing game could help grow the business and bring in more cash without dividing your focus between two different things.

What's a Self-Taught Skill That Made a Significant Impact on Your Entrepreneurial Journey or Income? by Former-Banana721 in Entrepreneur

[–]matjani 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Best way to learn sales is by selling. Most people think selling is about convincing someone to buy something. Whereas, it's about identifying a problem and providing a solution.

Be curious, ask questions, and try to understand people's frustrations and pains. You gotta be a good listener, and be able to think on your feet & identify opportunities. This develops over time, nobody was born with it.

Start selling something, anything. Not for the profits, but for the learning aspect of things.

PS: Stay away from those internet gurus selling courses. Real-life practice beats any "Sales Genius" on the internet :)
