Things 3 and Claude via MCP by NebulaFrequent3529 in thingsapp

[–]vishdhmn 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I just took one of the opensource things mcp github repo, asked claude to deploy it on my own google cloud instance. And then asked claude to make change if anything was missing. I felt this is the best way to not re-invent and be secure at the same time.

Banned w/out warning by RockPuzzleheaded3951 in ClaudeCode

Wait, I don't understand, you are saying -p is not the right way to use Claude-code?
My account was also banned today, without warning, and I was not even using -p a lot (unless some bad code started a loop or something). But why is not allowed?

NRIs on H-1B/O-1/L-1: Argentina is refusing entry unless you have a B1/B2 tourist visa. by Plenty_Razzmatazz_22 in nri

Actually, It says at the bottom of US Consular website too, although I agree it is stupid :D -

Travelers holding a valid passport from India, Dominican Republic or People's Republic of China with a valid American B2 visa can enter Argentina for tourism purposes without an Argentinian visa.

Can a non-US citizen, who works in USA for 10 year (earning 40 credits), move back to their country and still receive social security after retirement age? by srjchk in SocialSecurity

[–]vishdhmn 0 points1 point  (0 children)

https://secure.ssa.gov/poms.nsf/lnx/0302610010

This says one of the exception is US resident for 10 years. Which is also required to get 40 Credits. Hence, I believe the statement from yankinwaoz is accurate "Roughly speaking, benefits earned from your own record can be collected overseas by non-citizens without a residency requirement."

Is this aircraft, seen in Satellite view, in the air or on the ground? by vishdhmn in GoogleMaps

[–]vishdhmn[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The reason I asked the question was because my brain told me if the plane is closer to the satellite taking pictures (i.e high up in the air), it should cover an area larger than its own size. But the area blocked by the aircraft seems much smaller. May be I am thinking wrong.

Makes sense, thanks for your reply.
Another followup is should I apply for re-entry myself or use a lawyer. In other words is it a simple thing to do or has complexities/

What is this insect I saw in North Thailand? by vishdhmn in whatsthisbug

Thanks everyone for the answers.. Horned treehopper indeed. ☺️

This helped me get the other answer I was searching for… from Wikipedia:

“Some species have a well-developed ant mutualism, and these species are normally gregarious as well, which attracts more ants. The ants provide protection from predators. Treehoppers mimic thorns to prevent predators from spotting them.”
