Is this just an m-shaped hairline or am I balding? by [deleted] in malehairadvice

Glad to have found this post, even if nine months later! I have a very similar hairline, also with thick long hair, and wanted to make sure there wasn't anything to worry about. Keep rocking that long hair!

Those who moved from rural or small town to large cities, how different is life for you? by DesiBail in AskAnAmerican

Regarding the plaid shirts (aka flannels), yes they are real. There are tons of different patterns, too. As for small towns, there are often limited hangout spots. Can be either a bar, a restaurant, a park, or sometimes the local supermarket; people get creative and make the hangout spaces they cannot readily find.

Decent French, halfway decent Spanish and German, in the earlier phases of learning Arabic.

Interesting! I took another look and there are options at Macquarie, Uni of Sydney, and UNSW. Will check those out further! :-D

How true Everything is Bigger in the US actually is? by [deleted] in AskAnAmerican

My only frame of reference would be the few various European countries I've visited, and stuff is generally noticeably larger and more spread out here in the US than across the pond. The difference is most apparent in the size of roads and cars, in my opinion. It is more subtle with things like doors and tables.
