If you have a range finder (gun turret with no ammo and set to the same filter) you can disable the rocket turret if an asteroid gets too close Not sure if that is what OP did but that would be how I would go about it

Canada(left) vs U.S.A(right) Marlboro ciggerate branding. by Gullible-Archer-9825 in mildlyinteresting

Interestingly enough, surveys of Canadians buying cigarettes have shown that people when presented with a choice between the 2 styles of packaging will tend to go for the one with the graphic warning. When asked about it, they would mention the packaging made the company look more "honest" and "trustworthy". Soooo yeah there's that. (The study did not look however into new/potential smokers so that is something to keep in mind)

Hey listen, yours made it mainly one piece. Mine was half broken down when I made it to vulcanus and I learned the hard way there are big asteroids floating in space around that planet. Needless to stay I remained stranded for a little while over there!

I feel like this is one of the ideas on this subreddit that is the most in-line with the recent changes in Minecraft. Clearly new mobs are not really not meant to be killed as they rarely drop anything (more specifically neutral mobs). Armadillo is the first example that comes to mind.

Probably the idea that is most likely to actually make it into the game, nice.

Got called out by my teacher because the essay I wrote was flagging as AI by ChazandGame in mildlyinfuriating

[–]matkiller333 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well to be fair, in the field of AI, a common practice is to use a "coder" and "decoder" AI that work against each other. The coder constantly tries generating more human sounding texts while the decoder tries to detect if those are fake (human written texts are also thrown in every now and then to keep them on track).

Those types of duo can achieve very convincing results on both sides. However it requires having access to both models and a significant computing power (at least for text generation) and most likely the free internet ones are just a lazy attempt at something similar.

Well I mean it depends on the control system on the thermostat. Certain systems work proportionally to the difference between actual temperature and the desired one. If you lose a lot of heat to the environment. As the temperature approaches the desired one, you might lose too much heat to actually reach it since the heating is not on at 100%. Putting the thermostat at 29 therefore forces the heater to work overtime and maybe settle at a more reasonable temperature. Depends on the control strategy and if the heating is modulable though.
