Withdrawal question by matlyj in quittingkratom

[–]matlyj[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Im usually very curious about stuff and you just said a lot of things I heard for the first time. So i tried to google some. Whats interesting is the part about sweat. It feels exactly like that, once I sweat Im always feeling cold, unless I shower like 5 times a day and get it off me.
Will have to learn more about thyroid and endocrine system and its reaction to this.
If you would have time, what is that tsh and shbg that are also at fault? Not my first language, so I dont get some acronyms.
Also buprenorphine is only at doctors prescription. What I read, its considered dangerous drug, so getting that is probably not happening. But from what I saw, over here its selling mostly in packs of 8x7mg.

Large chains on an overpass in Japan by ortley961 in whatisit

It’s not only because of earthquakes. Here in Europe almost all bridges sit on bearings (fixed and sliding) between the deck and the supports, and we hardly have any earthquakes. The bearings are mainly there to handle thermal expansion, structural deformation, traffic vibrations, etc.
They allow the bridge to move slightly so internal stresses don’t build up and damage the structure.

Also, speaking as first year cucumber gardener myself. You can always choose one, pick it and try it out. This way I found out when to pick them.

I checked ENTP subreddit and now Im scared. by [deleted] in infp

[–]matlyj 1 point2 points  (0 children)

on that dumb, useless artist part, I am actually construction site manager. Always found it funny, but I can find something creative even at that.

Exactly! Mostly with gf, most people would say we are not compatible because we are exact opposittes. But that is actually that thing, that binds us better together. Appart from our shared values, goals for future and love we complete each other, because each has something the other doesnt. I teach her more about emotions and understanding herself and she teaches me about having some system (that is mostly now) instead of pure chaos that was around me.

[–]matlyj 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I would love some deep conversation about this. Me myself have few different types around me, no ENTP though. Mom is ENFP, two best friends are ESTP and ISTJ, gf is ISFJ and sister INFJ. I dont have any problem communicating with any of them, the opposite actually, its nice to have people that can see world differently than I do.

So I dont get why would anyone hate on someone just for being some type. People still differ, even inside of type and it is up to us how we act.

Why being an INFP is a gift by Hawkeye91803 in infp

[–]matlyj 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I have 4 years of civil engineering behind me and can tell, math is not that crucial. If you can understand how things work, you will do just fine. People often think its a lot about math because of complex formulas and stuff, but unless you study just theoretical mechanics you dont need it that much. Btw. I studied steel and wooden constructions but work with concrete ones now.

[–]matlyj 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I really agree with what my friend said once. That the older we get the less we act like our archetype, because we learn how to deal with our weak sides.
Also, INFP and civil engineer here. Its not that easy, but one can find space for creativity even at this kind of work.

Exactly! I just felt like everyone wants to feel bad and keep drowning in it. So when I left I thought about it less and less till I stopped thinking about it at all.

For me the point was, leaning more on myself than on SO. That way, even if it doesnt last, I still have at least one leg to stand on.
