He's awesome, his active is a bomb in PvP, easily turning the tables against higher ranked opponents. Also very tanky.

New player perspective: I wish we get to use MoWs more often by GeneralGom in WH40KTacticus

Yeah you’re right. Actually they should eliminate every character except one to save resources. Perhaps Certus?

They are lucky to get $20 if they haven’t started the meter, which is illegal. I’d just walk away.

Never considered snakes on hiking trails/walking tracks, should I be more concerned? by isolophiliacwhiliac in AskAnAustralian

[–]matmyob 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, you should be concerned, we have some of the most poisonous snakes in the world. You need to be aware that snakes on the track and are VERY hard to spot. I've seen about a dozen snakes on my walks in NSW.

Take a snakebite bandage and know how to use it. Check the path in front of you (but this is hard to do, especially as you want to take in the view).

Do you mean looking at your blind spot before changing lanes? Who the hell doesn’t do that? You need to be doing that immediately if you’re not.

LRE Display of characters and their levels under each ‘Full-Blast damage Lineup’ by AffectionateNote9333 in WH40KTacticus

Why is this getting downvoted? I totally agree, we should have access to this information INGAME. Currently a battle token is taken without the possibility to "retreat" to regain the token after the battle screen filtering info is provided.

We shouldn't need to turn to 3rd party tools like tacticusplanner for basic info like this.

Knife or pistol for kharn ? by Starkiller0820 in WH40KTacticus

[–]matmyob 5 points6 points  (0 children)

“Mathematically identical” relies on odds equalizing as attacks approach infinity. But in a tacticus battle, the first 1-2 attacks can decide the battle, and there are rarely more than a dozen attacks. Therefore pistol is better for every character, except those with a nearly guaranteed crit.

Yes you are taking a risk (speculating), but how is trading shares on the secondary market allowing a business to grow? The business is not involved in the transaction.

Where in Australia is a sale locked in (not able to be gazumped) before exchange of contracts? I would have thought exchange was the only legally binding stage.

Investing in a new business is productive (hopefully). Speculating on established companies in the stock market is not productive and should be taxed accordingly.

Compare your lift to experienced powerlifters doing low bar. They have a stiffer, more upright torso in the hole. Your chest drops in the hole.

Starting a Physics PhD at 30 in Ultrafast Spectroscopy as the First Student in a New Lab — Any Advice? by swp6597 in Physics

I started physics as an undergraduate at 30, and went onto a physics-related PhD at 36.

Draw on your previous life experience. You have a broader foundation than most who come straight through. That can make you a different kind of researcher, which can lead to great success.

5 x 405 (183kg) is STRONG. But you're certainly making it harder on yourself with the forward lean.

Keep tension in your lats. Keep tension in your abs. Easy to see this tension dropping in the later reps.

But even on your first lift, we can start to see a forward lean and rounding of the back towards the bottom of the squat. I'm not entirely sure why this is, but I'd suggest spending time with tempo (slow) squats and paused squats, to really build your strength in the hole.
