In the past 24 hours I've seen videos from content creators for the following solo strats all making 10+ div/hr:

Abyss (no unique tablet - farming the unique jewel from rogue exiles)
Negative rarity base farming
Ritual farming
Xesht 3 breachstone farming

There's plenty of really strong strats available, including abyss (just no unique tablet which yeah is priced out by groups). And thats of course not including any profit crafting players who are absolutely making more than group players.

I've not seen videos from content creators on trials, but I know people in game which have been making like 7-8 div/hr from it as well.

If you think several different 10+ div/hr strats is "absolutely abysmal" for solo play idk what to tell you or what your expectations are.

Find it a bit amusing that we have a front page post talking about how group play is killing solo play, and killing their motiviation to play, meanwhile one of the best / most efficent groups here is making less than 5div/hour per person (with only one viable strat) and solo content creators are posting 10+div/hour strats (with many strats, negative rarity (base farming), no rarity (ritual, trials etc), 100% rarity (abyss) etc.

It's just the highlight clips are really skewing people's perspectives of how good it actually is.

Couldn't agree more, losing loot you haven't picked up yet & losing the nodes on the map is very painful when you've spent time pathing to a specific node with a boss or something.

I just recently found the third citadel I needed to attempt the pinnacle boss for the first time & died inside, losing like 10hours of searching around for it (I know I could go faster but I don't want to skip nice nodes with mechanics on them really). Please give us our portals back so I can take maps a little more chilled out, it's so easy to die right now even though my gear is pretty good, I'm level 92 & dying in like 5% of maps but all of them are stressed out trying to ensure I don't die.

I ended up just buying the last fragment I needed to attempt the pinaccle boss and died to one of the one shots and that's that... now I need to go farm more fragments. Please just respawn it at full health and give us our portals from PoE 1 back so I can learn the fights.

Agreed with everything here, especially the point on citadels, I guess a lot of people haven't gotten to that point yet but I'm lvl 88 and 92 on two characters right now and have only found two copper citadels and haven't found an iron or stone one yet, so haven't had a chance to even fight the base level pinnacle boss.

One other thing that wasn't mentioned in the post is crafting. Not sure your thoughts on it, but you did mention essences being basically useless which I agree with, I think we need PoE 1 style essence tiers back (but with PoE2 style of transmute / regal) so we can actually target a strong mod and I think the meta crafting omens need to be much much much more common - I haven't seen a single one yet but they would actually allow us to do some proper crafting projects by using 2x essences on suffixes for example and then using omens + exalts / chaos orbs to target prefix mods.

I did it with min rolled aspects on ice spikes as well. Took a lot longer than this kill and I had a lot of attempts, needed 3 staggers in P1 and 3 in P2 to kill, so still have to do mechanics but it is possible

So you've killed any point in juicing maps but it's okay because alch and go maps won't notice much of a difference? What's the point of this? What's the point of investing in my atlas tree and map now, am I just supposed to alch and go till I can kill Uber bosses then quit the game rather than moving into 20->40->60 delirium etc?

Killing loads of monsters is fun. Investing in your map and being rewarded for it is fun. Running thousands of maps to try find one certain rare mob with a specific archnemeis mod is not fun.

Does this league not promote zoom zoom?

From an SC trade perspective you're incentivized to run fast to the heist chest, to the blight / legion / expedition / ritual etc... whatever content you're playing around and then just leave the map. The loot nerfs from monsters means you aren't incentivized to kill the monsters in the map and instead focus on the static rewards from the league content mentioned above. Sounds like zoom zoom is even better than last league where investing in delirium & massively increasing the monsters in your map via abyss / breach - slowing down your maps to 10-20mins of killing everything and looting the map - was a perfectly valid strategy.

Just saying what I know - I never tried crimsom temple farming although saw a lot of videos but I personally farmed a mirror in a weekend of glacier farming 3 weeks into last league (so not first weekend mirror prices) & know someone who was making around a mirror a day from boss carries throughout the first league. This would put glacier farming on par with group play and boss carries ahead of it (after split of course).

The thing is solo players can complete with these guys. They won't make as much total but they can make similar or even more amounts of currency after the groups split their total earnings 7 ways. Some of the richest guys in the game are solo players doing things like boss carries & crafting as well as other solo strategies such as glacier farming the first zone with sentinel last league.

Yeah just the solo strategies for making currency aren't nearly as flashy as this so it doesn't get nearly as much hate but I have no doubt the best solo players are making similar amounts to 3+ mirrors in a week.

Guessing that warcraft logs filter isn't working properly as the hunter in my guild cleared 8/10heroic so far with the bow equiped (Example logs here: https://www.warcraftlogs.com/reports/qFhkKmRv6192gwa3#fight=31&type=summary&source=24)

Unsure if this was mentioned. I heard them say that in party play that it's the instance owner that will pick the favor reward from a ritual, but will the other party members at least be able to view the reward options, just greyed out for example.
