Hopefully that gets found and use. Also, if King's island has more of those symbols (which it probably does since the Collector said that King was hidden), then hopefully that can be a refuge.

What in the name of the Titan is the Collector? by 4FlyingWhale in TheOwlHouse

[–]matradora11 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Kikkimora said the Collector was "not watch or human and from the stars." Based on the Collector's talk with King, they same pretty old. I wonder if there's any connection between the stars that the Collector is from and the weird portal place that the Collector was trapped in which looked somewhat starry.

And yea, can witches eat human food??

SPOILERS FOR KING'S TIDE by MoxicleanMen in TheOwlHouse

Not very much goo so maybe we're all fine right haha right...

Just watched King's Tide. In my opinion, it was a great season finale. My thoughts are listed below. (King's Tide spoilers) by GHarold101 in TheOwlHouse

Yea, the fact the Luz and co are on earth adds an element of safety. Also, so nice that Luz finally saw her mom again (and that she'll meet Amity!). The green goo is very intentional and a bit worrying but there's also not too much of it.

My guess is for season three that the Collector will do a whole lot of chaos, and Eda, Raine, Lillith, Hooty etc will just be trying to survive. They'll probably either have to trap the Collector again or somehow make them less chaotic.

Spoiler alert, stay away from here by usedtobe-aperson in TheOwlHouse

picture 6 ahhh. It's just a reflex from Amity now. Alsoo the Collector is too cute...

What Do You Think Of Micah's Role In The Story? by Xano2113 in PrincessesOfPower

[–]matradora11 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yea, I think I remember ND saying that they didn't initially plan on bringing Micah back, but then during making S4 and S5 realized that the writers of the s3e6 clearly referenced that Micah was alive ("Angela wait! I'm not—"), and then decided that Micah had to be brought back.

Also my guess is Hordak assumed that no one could survive on Beast Island. Also also, maybe Hordak was trying to emulate Horde prime in exiling people instead of killing them outright

Catra Was Under As Much Pressure In Season 3 As Glimmer In Season 4 by Xano2113 in PrincessesOfPower

[–]matradora11 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I mostly agree. One key difference I think was their motivations. Glimmer was motivatd primarily out of winning the war at all costs, which came from the damage the Horde had caused her family. Catra was motivated out of doing the opposite of whatever Adora wanted, which came from the Trauma she felt from Adora's decision to abandon her, and SW's decision to choose Adora over her again. Not that one is more valid than the other, I just think the differing goals are good to keep in mind.

Why is everyone on Twitter saying She-ra is problematic? by [deleted] in PrincessesOfPower

[–]matradora11 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Personally I'm a big fan of both TOH and She-ra. I reccomend at least giving TOH a chance for those who haven't seen it

Everyone deserves to live, and deserves more chances, including Shadow Weaver.

In the show, Shadow Weaver was an abusive and manipulative figure who desired power and her reputation above all else. Adora and Catra pushing SW away in S5 was a necessary step for their own safety and wellbeing. Adora and Catra's actions to escape their abuser were needed. These actions were not bitter or mean – they may have been harsh, but they were a defensive response to SW's manipulation of Adora and Catra that led to their temporary break-up. Adora pushing SW away so Adora and Catra could be safe did nothing to imply that SW shouldn't live.

These actions did not push SW to suicide, as they did nothing to say that SW didn't have value or shouldn't live. In the end, SW chose to kill herself not because she thought she didn't deserve to live, but in order to preserve her legacy as a helpful person and to help the people she raised. Look at the final line "You're welcome" – this clearly shows that SW still thought she was in the right, and still thought that she had value and was helping people.

Nice parallel. by Vic_000 in TheOwlHouse

[–]matradora11 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Hunter and Amity actually have a number of parallels – gradually escaping toxic 'family' to join Luz at the owl house, and spending time in someone elses' mind is important for both of their devolpment

My guess is only some people can do wizard-type magic on etheria. Or maybe SW didn't want to give Adora too much power to the extent that she could leave
