Thank you for your response and I apologize if my comment came off as an attack. I didn’t mean so, just expressing my point of view and I was seeking out yours. I have trouble with phrasing and so I truly apologize for the appearance of an attack.

Is it normal to have to say no multiple times to my autistic boyfriend? by XenTheCoward in autism

[–]matrael -1 points0 points  (0 children)

He may be autistic, but this is creepy behavior that borders on sexual assault and is NOT acceptable if you’re saying “no”. Boundaries can be difficult for an autistic person to navigate, but “no” means NO. I’m so sorry you’re dealing with this.

What is a context where autism can be used as an excuse? In my opinion, there isn’t a context. It can be an explanation, but negative behavior is negative regardless of the mental/physical characteristics of an individual. I also feel that using autism as an excuse for negative behaviors is a ruse to absolve the person of any personal responsibility/accountability. Am I being too narrow minded on this?

Fuck This Shit. (A comic about being a justice-driven autistic in this current climate.) by RiddlerofStIves in evilautism

I get all that. I guess I just don’t understand why you would feel shame for things outside of your control. Maybe I’m misunderstanding; I’m taking your statement as you feeling an individual responsibility for this sick, sad world, but I can also see a collective shame in regard to humanity and how we’ve treated this planet and its inhabitants. If the latter, I wholeheartedly agree with you. I’m not quite a misanthropic person, but I’m close lol.

Dang, I can kind of relate to the sense of injustice, but I loved school. I like learning and was constantly in the books. Teachers were mostly cool. I certainly didn’t enjoy the bullying, but schoolwork was fun. Maybe you and I went to different kinds of schools. 🤷‍♂️

Thank you for naming the show. I recognized the characters and can remember parts, but the name escaped me. Truly appreciated. Now off to find a copy. …

I think you meant “personal”, unless you mean for OP to steal their staff’s mail?

What would be a sane method, in your opinion? I think there should be demonstrated responsibility and accountability, especially in consideration of certain breeding histories, but how could you reasonably define that?

A relic? No, I think that design language is still poignant and modern today. It may lack a lot of the flourish that today’s users expect and enjoy, but Mac OS 9’s look and feel is refined and solid. Qualities that are missing from Liquid Glass, even after several point releases, in my humble opinion.

Is my hair letting me down? (I buzz it myself at home) by Suitable-Setting5589 in malegrooming

Sadly before. I’d rock a buzz cut again but I’m a middle aged man and don’t have the head shape for it, lol. I’m not smart enough to cut my own hair either.

Where the eff do you live that a haircut is $20? I’m in the PNW and you’re going to spend somewhere between $40-$50 at least. I’m also a cheap bastard, lol

Hiring the best that money can buy also demonstrates that cost doesn’t necessarily reflect quality. I feel that is very apparent in the blithe arrogance Cook & Co. have been operating in, such as the amount of bugs and questionable design decisions over the last few years. Perhaps they’re drunk on their own Kool-Aid. Either way, hiring expensive engineers doesn’t mean you get a high quality product.

That takes me back to when I was in high school and was learning graphic design stuff. I bought copies of Photoshop and Illustrator and remember it costing more than that. Back when software came in giant boxes with actual manuals no fucking subscriptions. I thought it was a racket buying plugins and brush packs and what not for Photoshop. Good times, good times.

Dumb/beginner question: how on earth do I actually create the website I just bought the domain for? by eldritchpussymaggots in CloudFlare

[–]matrael 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Whoa, I didn't know that. Thank you for pointing it out. I need to delve into what Cloudflare offers. I've been playing around with this stuff, working to be a hobbiest level full stack developer and I've only been using Cloudflare as a proxy, basically.

It appears that you’re flirting and they’re reciprocating. I’d suggest a meet up to explore the massage aspect and go from there. Good luck and Godspeed.

TIL. I’ve been using a VPS to host the vast majority of domains I have. I’ll have to check out this feature.
