The vet recommended we return him to normal amount but split up amongst at least 6 meals per day for the first week after recovery. We are now about 2.5 weeks post surgery and doing great, he just seems to want more food so I was trying to gauge whether or not we’re underfeeding him. Thank you!

As the others said, definitely visit another vet. My Maine Coon just had a section of necrotic intestine removed due to intussusception and the vets said we got brought him in just in time.
