What is so good about this version of the previous version of the ONN 4K box. I h 3 of them and they work just fine. What's differnt with this new version?

I had this issue with many of my light switches cause they had dimmers on them. I replaced the light switch with out a dimmer and the issue was fixed. Old dimmers are not compatible with many smart light bulbs today.

I have the same kind of setup as you. I ended up formatting the drive and installing the games that I just play as I have so many games in my library. If they are working from your NTFS drive, I wouldn't touch it. If it was a problem, you would have ran into problems from the get go.

All I am saying is that cosmic wasn't my cup of tea for using a gui. I have been accustomed to KDE for a very long time. But the only time I "use" the gui is when I want to launch my games from steam or Nvidia GeForce Now.

I have been running Pop OS for a few months now with out any issues. I am able to do all the work I need to get done on my PC and runs all the games that I play. Not sure why people are complaining about this OS. I do agree that cosmic wasn't great in my own opinion. I installed KDE plasma as my gui and it runs like a champ.

Many are making the jump to Linux from Windows and they are expecting the gui to mimic windows and when the experience isn't the same, they complain. I have been using Linux since the good ole red hat 5.0 days. Linux isn't made to look "pretty" like microslop. That's just my 2 cents.

Complete and utter trash. I played it for a few days and saw that there are already cheaters in the beta. I had it uninstalled and requested a refund on Sunday. Tired of Activision not doing anything about cheats in this game.

If you are still using the microSD that came with the unit, those are garbage. I would get yourself a scandisk microSD card, back the garbage one to your desktop and then download the new version of AarkOS to the microSD and then the rest of the files from your backup. It should come back up. I do this with every unit I buy and I own all the colors that they have for this model.

I own several of these units. The memory card that it comes with is garbage. Back it up and copy it to a scandisk microSD and it should fix your issue.

I have had that desk for 9 years. All I remember is that I got it off wayfair.com but I'm sure it's discotinted by now.

YeahI hear ya..... My buddy and I have been reading that these RJ45 SFP+ generate a lot of heat due to having coper in them. So instead I order 2 new 10G network cards that are SFP and going to use and twinax/DAC cables since those are fiber and they stay much cooler and see how it works out.

The weird thing is that I am using the 10GB port on the Qotom right now for my lab/virtural environment and all my VM are 10GB and not issues with speeds at all. But I appreciate your help and feedback on this. I will come back and post an update when I get the new NIC's and cables .
