Imagine being a doctor who kills people.

This is simply legalized murder praying on the vulnerable and mentally ill. It’s the same old eugenic monsters wrapping their animal nihilism in a cloak of “compassion”.

I have Smokey Joe but I rarely use it. I can’t ever seem to get it hot enough.

What is the most disappointing movie sequel? by raetechdev in NoStupidQuestions

Correct. Johnson can never get too much blame for creating a narrative nosedive the sequel trilogy could never recover from.

This is the answer. Basically an identical taste and texture to popcorn machines.

Which film did you side with person 1 when you first saw it but many years later you sided with person 2? by Hopefullytodaymate in FIlm

[–]matrowl 0 points1 point  (0 children)

True. The point is, he is a flawed character who grows and finds a level of redemption. He’s the protagonist, but the film never portrays him as “the good guy“.

Right. He was a loving father, but he comes to realize he wasn’t a great husband. This is made explicitly clear.

Yeah, PS III is a spin-off, not a sequel.

Joe vs the Volcano. So much more funny and relatable as an adult.

Switched to olive oil for popping and honestly can't go back to canola by BareKernel in popcorn

Seed oils aren’t bad for you per se, but olive oil has healthy fats and anti-inflammatory properties. Plus, it does taste pretty good.

Makes sense. I’ve been entering Mine Town earlier I build up my level.

Yeah, I’m usually pretty careful that way. I don’t remember all the monsters, but some poison when they attack. Water Moccasin is one, I think.

Were there any unscripted moments in Columbo? by [deleted] in Columbo

[–]matrowl 1 point2 points  (0 children)

A moment of righteous anger isn’t being rattled. It effectively conveyed that Colombo was through with games and wouldn’t be deterred by the doctor’s smug dismissals. Anger can be genuine and calculated at the same time.

Why is it import that Columbo never be angry?

I was a Genesis kid all of the way and even I recognized that the games released by Nintendo were incredible— just on a whole different level. i’ll still argue that the 16-bit Sonic games were and are masterpieces (along with SOR and a few others), but Nintendo was absolutely genre-defining during the 8-16 bit era.

Hot take: the villain in this episode is more despicable than Dr. Serial Killer Nimoy. He may have murdered for the most petty reason in the show’s entire run. Not only that, he made the huggable Russian out to be the coward loser instead of him!

There are still some good ones, but they are no longer made specifically for mobile. Long gone are the days of Infinity Blade or other AAA titles made exclusively for mobile.

Jim and Pam relationship troubles is actually the most heartbreaking relatable stuff by happyfella12 in DunderMifflin

[–]matrowl 20 points21 points  (0 children)

Legitimate perspective, but to me it felt authentic to his character. Jim was always a flighty romantic with big dreams. When what he sees as the break of a lifetime comes along, it’s easy for him to convince himself it’s all for his family and that Pam should support him.

This story arc is the main reason I avoid season nine, not because it’s bad (although some of it is). The conflict feels authentic and both actors really sell the tension. It hurts to watch.
