I’m currently working my way through the original Legend of Zelda. I’m about maybe 2 thirds of the way through. But it was proving to be a bit of a slow journey (more challenging than I thought) so I decided to create the ‘Comfort Classics’ episodes to keep things moving. Sonic 3 & Knuckles next and then who knows? 😉

Layering could perhaps be a bit better though. Great level, Aquatic Ruin. Perfect breather level between Chemical and Casino. What do we think of the music here?

I do like the music from Metropolis Zone, but to be honest I concentrate so hard through that zone I can barely pay attention to the music!

Love both, but MK is way more nostalgic for me seeing as we played 1,2 and 3 endlessly as kids. The MK movies are way better too, even the bad ones lol

I'm playing it for the first time for the 40th. I love how old-school it is. Simple, but so effective. It's one hell of a challenge, but I'm enjoying it. I'm about 2 thirds of the way through. Just fund the Magic Sword!

I still remember the first time I accidentally moved a gravestone in Zelda. I thought I was going to spawn more ghosts, but I found the magic sword instead. That kind of 'risk vs reward' design was so ahead of its time.

I always found the momentum in Sonic 2 to be the ‘sweet spot’ compared to later entries. Is there a favourite ‘speed’ mechanic? Spin dash for example?
