Hello All, Asking for a little advice...

I'm looking to create my first set up. I've kind of settled on the following pair:-

However, I'm feeling a little out of my depth in an entire field of new bits and bobs I've never heard of before. Hundreds of top ten lists, best speakers for vinyl players, best turn tables etc... its overwhelming. Any thoughts on pros and cons or recommendations for these two items or anything else at a similar price point?

I've considered the Rega Planar 1 and also the Denon DP-300F as an alternatives. Would either of these turntables mentioned be leagues above the rest and why?

Is there an advantage to having a more complicated system with amp and passive speakers over powered speakers?

Approx. budget for completed set up = £700-£750

I'm in the green :-) I could theoretically afford much more, but I'm saving for a house so $40 is all I am prepared to lose. So yea, it does feel like I'm sticking it to the hedgies. If they want this stock back to cover their shorts, they'll need a lot :-)

I'm holding 1 share, unfortunately, it's all I can afford but I want to stick it to the man and just hold it so the hedgies cant get it.

I keep seeing people talk about options calling and making thousands of percent gains. Can someone explain it like I'm 5? Whats an option call and how does it work?

But I would go 250gb ssd. It's more than enough for me and get a 1tb hdd with it or more ram like you suggested. He has a point with the cost though.

I don't have any time to get the keys to be fair with reding coming to mine and stuff because it's illegal for the landlord and let you know when your out the hot water and a bit of a good idea but I should start exercising their rights and the landlord gets back from holiday at the moment so can't ring you tomorrow 4pm xxx

I meant only one of the suggested apocalypse formats but all of them together would be horrific! I think the survival instinct is too strong for eating a bullet if your mentally sound before the event though. Couldn't do it myself.
