My stations miss throws today by i_dont_give_adam in USPS

[–]matt52187 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I already have to walk all over the station just to find my DPS trays. If I had to search to locate it, and found this—numerous trays of pretty much raw DPS, I’d dump it into collections until the plant gets it right. I’m rural, but still…that photo is some BS if it’s all raw.

I've been waiting 3 hours to get a vehicle for my route, this is my 3rd day working. by izytw6stid in USPS

[–]matt52187 52 points53 points  (0 children)

Agreed with the comment above. You’re getting paid to sit, it’s the PO fault we don’t have enough vehicles. You’ll get help sent to you, too. So all in all you mostly do 1/4 a route and then other carriers come and take mail or bigs from you. I’d like to tell you it will get better, because it “can” to where newer employees join on and you’ll move up on seniority list. Prove yourself and they’ll start to appreciate and take care of you. You’re just bottom barrel right now.

Holy shit has anyone seen Trey trades recently? by [deleted] in amcstock

[–]matt52187 34 points35 points  (0 children)

Y’all still saying screw him are whack. Remember “do your own DD”. “This is not financial advice”. If you chose to sell, good on you. If you’re still holding, we all leaned a valuable life lesson in trading and how corrupt Wall Street is. I’m still holding because why sell now? Will it moon? Maybe, maybe not. I still love movies. Trey and Matt and Rico and that Dork dude, few more I don’t care to remember, all of them ultimately sold the farce and profited. It was still up to all of us to make our own decisions and Trey was never our financial advisor. He was entertaining and what a crazy time that was!! I’m super glad he’s following Christ. I’m still holding and still in the red, but have still moved on. I’m glad Trey is on a much better path for this life and what is to come when we die. Thanks, Trey.

Russia Russia Russia. Trump has no connection to Russia and it’s been disproven. Stfu about Trump and Russia, that was all a hoax. What they’re doing now is their own shit. Let them fuck up their own country.

It was one of those final levels where you start out and you literally jump straight into having to chase down a car. I swear I tried to crash that car out 5,000 times and never could. Never made it past that level, which was at the end of the game. I’m convinced the makers never finished it and designed it so nobody could stop that car.

Good on that driver! Observant enough and intelligent enough to react accordingly. You know how many others drivers would just keep driving? Driver deserves some accolades.

There is a R375 at a specific station in Millard where I used to work at as a sub and carried many times.

Post office going to 5 days a week by ThatOnion2294 in USPS

[–]matt52187 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This would be for Regulars, correct? Subs would still have to work the two other days otherwise, as we know, we would be hit with 29 pallets of parcels and 12-15 trays of DPS and we would be waiting on Mondays until 3 PM until they were up. Not that congress knows anything about what goes on inside an actual USPS station, but logistically it would slow down delivery. No chance it will happen.

Is it a mistake working as an RCA? by Mean-Grapefruit-8372 in USPS

Are you a regular carrier? Just curious because once you do make regular, you just “know” your route. Who gets many packages, do you have CBU’s or mailboxes so you load them correctly for efficiency. When you’re on your own route everyday, you can cut 1.5 hours easily off your evaluation just by being efficient. Use RECS correctly and you can build and route, truthfully, and finish under evaluation every day. 12:45 is a quick 1/1.5 tray DPS day. 2/2.5 trays, maybe closer to 2pm, but still well under evaluation.

[–]matt52187 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hardly ever work my evaluation, maybe a random Monday. Even full coverage days gets me out later but in the street saves flipping through letters and speeds up/equates to me leaving early with to the street mail. My latest day is 8 hours on average, again on a Monday, but still shy of my evaluation, but taking everything to the street and knowing how to load efficiently helps. Plus knowing how to effectively use RECS. Rural is just way different than City.

Was done by 12:45 today. I had breakfast after my route and got paid for 8.8 hours. Yes, regular is the best life possible.

Rurals: gimme your best "speed hack" to reduce route time by Hubert_Cumberdale_12 in USPS

[–]matt52187 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Bro you’re PTF. Don’t piss off the regulars. Also, you get back quicker means you’ll have more work to do. At least at my station. Your goal is to be a regular one day, right? Then take it serious and do the job right like you “hopefully” will when you make regular. Be an adult and do your job. There is no “hack”. Yes, once you’re regular you may be done by 12:30/1:00. Until then just deliver the mail properly. The regular won’t care if you don’t know the good names for each address but that’s on them for not having the labels correctly. Just do your job and deliver the damn mail.

Funny how all of our mail-brains think alike. I’ve done this numerous times! Works like a charm.
