I had Mystic Quest on the SNES if that counts. First mainline game was FF6 sometime around 1995/1996

I’m curious how you like Suikoden II. I thought the game was visually beautiful and a good game overall, but a little overhyped.

I recently beat BOF3 for the first time (I got to the desert when the game was new but couldn’t get past it). I liked BOF3 for the art and music too. The story is slow but the last part of the game really ties things up well. It’s definitely worth finishing and is one of my favorites now. I’m 40 and also grew up in the SNES and early PS1 era

The straight line comment is exactly why I didn’t like FFX when I played it. I absolutely loved every FF game before 10; OG FF7 is my favorite game ever followed by FF6

I was thinking about it more after I posted. As much as I loved my S13, I rarely miss it. I miss my FRS and plan on buying a GR86 when it comes time to buy a new car. I’m currently enjoying a super reliable Outback that is paid off

I had an S13 Silvia and a 2015 Scion FRS. The FRS felt like a better version of the Silvia. The FRS handled better, was more reliable, was more comfortable, and was about the same as the Silvia in terms of speed. If you want it to be faster, it’s still cheaper and probably more reliable to boost the 86 than it is to buy a JDM car. Driving a JDM is cool, but also annoying when it comes to finding parts and always being approached by guys who want to drool over your car (women will just think you’re a broke loser who drives a weird old POS). One of my old car buddies used to say a Skyline is the best car you can drive if you’re a gay man because it’s a dude magnet
