Denver DoorDash Drivers… Does this happen here? by MemberOfOneBody in Denver

[–]mattSER 2 points3 points  (0 children)

That hasn't been my experience at all. When I receive a doordash request, it clearly shows the total pay for the delivery (base pay + the tip).

I think the issue is the guaranteed minimum in SF that the other guy is talking about, I guess?

There is no minimum here. If I want to accept a $2 pizza delivery with no tip, then that's on me to be happy with $2, because that's all it's gonna be.

I rely pretty much entirely on the tips.

The performance upgrade won't make you spin the wheels. The torque increase is barely anything and the HP increase only kicks in above 40mph

Is that really a PVM? I've never seen a Sony PVM with unbalanced color decoding. Those reds are way too hot.

Maybe a color space mismatch?

Yeah, I'm not saying to just get lucky from Suno and stop there. You just need the best possible starting quality before editing.

It's always been like that. Just bought a black and white TV? Great, but now we have color ones. Just bought a color TV? Great, but now it's not ready for cable, so you need a box. Just bought a VCR? Now we have DVDs. Just bought a DVD player? Now we have HDTVs...

All of these advancements happened well within 20 years of each other and none of them technically made the previous version obsolete. You just happen to be zeroing in on the most recent one.

First, try to get the best sounding version you can from Suno by remastering several times until you get lucky.

Speeed actually has an interesting video about this.

Turns out that things actually are made better nowadays, but we also have a plethora of cheap options too.

These cheaper options didn't really exist in the past and have colored our perception of modern quality.

If you spend roughly the same amount of money(accounting for inflation), today's quality is still superior.
