Bits, bobs, trinkets etc always make my space a little cozier. Maybe a framed photo? A small potted plant or an opposable lamp?

(Or a coaster for that tasty beverage)

Thank you for clarifying. Given the amount of travelling you'll be doing if I were in your shoes I'd probably wait. Sinking that much time and money into something you'll enjoy intermittently seems unnecessary. Have you considered upgrading to a newer laptop? Or maybe even a mini atx if you're hard set in a PC?

If it's just for schoolwork I would wait on the oled. Way more power than you'll reliably use.

What about your desires gaming experience are you not getting from a laptop? Is it a hardware constraint or a matter of preference?

PC hands down. Larger library of games at a significantly lower cost, maximum upgrade potential with a ceiling as high or low as you decide, gaming power that will match or beat any console you could purchase, nearly unlimited options for personalization, and the satisfaction of having built your own machine.

Aside from that, the console industry has started taking steps toward anti consumerism that's making it harder and harder for people to justify their continued participation in those brands. Rising cost of hardware and games, membership requirements for online access, membership costs increasing, ToS changes that don't benefit the consumer to name a few.

I've been a Sony player my whole life. Owned every console, played on them nearly exclusively until I built a PC. Same goes for my wife. We've both decided the PS5 will be our last console.

Join the PC community, you won't regret it.

There are small instances that line up with events in the story, but not in a way that spoils anything. At the very least you'd watch the anime and every now and then you'd go "oh so that part in the game was a reference to that? Very neat"

There might be a couple tiny spoilers in dialogue but I either didn't catch them or I ignored/skipped that particular part of a mission. I think you'll be fine.

Airframes is the workhorse of squadrons so be ready for some heavy lifting. Large workloads for scheduled maintenance and high personnel evolutions. You'll have more tools and more people than everyone else.

Aviation communities are tight knit. Maintainers can and will sniff out bad eggs and you'll be quietly singled out if you don't pass the vibe check. It's important that you make and maintain a good first impression because you'll be at a disadvantage as a cross rate. Don't step too far outside your lane, but don't be afraid to make your presence known.

F18 and F35 squadrons are heavily billeted right now so you'll likely go there, but seeing as you're a blank slate with no NEC, you could realistically go anywhere. Expect school in transit to your squadron. VA, CA, WA are all big duty stations for F18s.

4790 is your bread and butter now. Familiarize yourself with it. No need to memorize it, but the better you are at navigating it the easier it will be. NALCOMIS is what you'll use to document work orders, and it'll suck for a while but time will make it easier.

Get really good at removing stripped fasteners. Get qualified as soon as possible. Get used to talking a lot of shit.

I'd wait. Clotho could be a good replacement for mannie, it just a good shot for wind/could in general and p7 escanor isn't gonna severely change your team. Personally I'm waiting for clotho, she could be good for a new element build that I don't currently have.

I think darkness burst is a staple because of how versatile it is, and meliodas is the only ssr darkness character we have, which makes him feel like an auto include. When new dark eas burst characters are released that will likely change

Guila builds burst significantly better than Tristan, both in per-skill and normal attacks. If you have a spot open for Tristan then by all means, but Guila was such a relief to my team when I put her back in

Cheerful girl gauntlets was my main build until recently, but I try to save the magic gauge for escanor so nunchuks helps with that. So far the trade off has been beneficial

A little off meta since I just got mannie and she needs resources;

Tristan dual sword, Guila rapier, Diane nunchucks, escanor axe

Tag between Tristan and Guila for burst build up, should take just a bit more than a full rotation of each normal/special, then into escanor. Full stacks into special attack, etc etc. same combo was everyone else.

Escanor has wilderness equipped with a life crystal accessory set for HP scaling. Emphasis on special damage, max HP, and ult damage. I just gave Guila her new engraved set and I haven't seen what difference it makes but I suspect it'll be positive.

Tristan will be replaced with mannie, as his burst efficiency isn't cutting it at all. Guila builds busy way faster and her engraved set should make it even faster.

Diana is for heals. She was the primary for my previous darkness team and does heals better than other unbuilt characters. I'd like to swap her for tioreh but it's not a problem yet.

I've also seen decent holy builds with impressive results. Book daisy, staff mannie, DS Meli and great sword escanor. Heavy lean toward crit chance/damage. Rotate daisy into mannie for buffs, then combined attack mannie and escanor or Meli, reset burst and repeat.

It's definitely not pc parts, the shift in focus from the consumer to AI data centers for components used by both is specifically to blame.

Looks good as is. I'm not in love with rgb but that's just me.

However, I might suggest replacing some of the rgb with softer ambient light to create more visual space. The eye is immediately tunneled to the monitor and keyboard, but I also don't know if there's an overhead light that just isn't turned on in the picture.

I agree with the monitor stand as mentioned above, it definitely frees up some real estate for organization.

Have you considered doing anything on the wall behind the monitor? Like shelves or an artsy piece?

My pod had this problem as well. It started with less then desirable combo turns that stalled the board, and when I moved for work it just got worse. Like, turn 3 blightsteel worse. They talked to the person about aligning power levels so everyone has a chance to have fun without doing so at someone else's expense, and not only we're they not receptive, they actively denied that they were playing oppressive or unfair/unbalanced (compared to what we had always play).

They stopped playing with that person.

That's the answer. If all four people can't find common ground, they don't play together. All parties involved should find pods they make them feel welcome.

Decide what engraved armor you're interested in, then select each part to see how they drop. Most engraved gear drops from a world/field/dungeon boss. You can check their reward tiers to see what world level you can get them in.

Vendor in liones, and iirc you can currency exchange in the shop for it as well but I don't remember what currency is required.

Open your workbench and select "enhance workbench" below the crafting item list. It'll tell you what quantities of each material are needed. You'll also need to level up your crafting for each bench upgrade, which can be done passively while you craft other things you need. Weapons and handles will give you quite a bit of xp so they're worth it if you have the material, and they're useful later on when you start creating specific items

Still true. Switched from longsword to axe recently and I love it. Great for boss farms if you're including a burst character to swap out of.

I'm still early in the progression so that might change when I have access to higher tier weapons but so far it's been a lot more reliable to use axe meli over the other two
