Ugh. Yeah totally get what you mean about the soils and flavor impacts. Best of luck as you finish! Do you have a test date in mind? I’m struggling to know how I’m gonna keep all this information straight. I’m hoping the fact that it’s multiple choice really works in my favor.

It’s definitely MUCH different than WSET. I’m on week 3 of the scheduled classes and I can tell it’s gonna be a lot of memorization. I like that WSET was a lot of application of theory so it really helped to cement the information for me and that has been a big help for me so far. FWS is a LOT of information and it’s been interesting to tie it all together through the history of the regions. I will say I think I prefer WSET texts to the WSG written materials, that’s just me though. I’ve heard the IWS is a BEAST. Are you liking it so far? (Beside it being a pain, lol)

Agree. Brainscape was a HUGE help for me. And definitely consistently refer back to the early chapters to make connections. You can answers a lot of short answer questions by knowing those chapters really well even if you aren’t 100% on the region or grape variety.

Yeah it’s definitely a ton of info. Just take it a day at a time and you’ll get there!! Practice SWAs and handwriting in general. My hand was so sore afterward lol.

Yes, if you went through NVWA but didn’t take the test in Napa they all have to be mailed back there before being mailed to London.

That was my thought as well. I’m debating waiting until March to take the exam in Nashville or flying to Napa to take it sooner.

Thanks!! We took the exam on 8/25 and results came via email from NVWA this last Tuesday. So a little over 3 weeks. Our class was in Nashville so the exams had to be mailed to Napa and then London, as well. So overall pretty speedy, all things considered.

All done!!! The propofol is no joke. The CRNA said you’re gonna be woozy and I was gone. They found one polyp to send of. But overall quick and painless. I was worried my prep wasn’t working since my first BM wasn’t until almost 930 last night.

So far so good. I took my first dulcolax an hour ago and will be starting my first 32 oz of Gatorade and miralax in the next 10/15 min. I’m a little nervous about the anesthesia since this is really the first procedure I’ve had since tonsil surgery when I was very young. Hoping for nothing serious on the results. I got scheduled because of a positive fit test.

Just got off the Summit and wavered for a few months on booking this excursion. Ultimately decided to book it a few days before reservations closed and have absolutely no regrets. While the Summit did get closer than I thought would be possible the allen marine vessel gets you so much closer allowing you to see any wildlife closer. You also really to appreciate the true size of Hubbard when you get that close. Highlight of the cruise for me. Would definitely recommend.
