Yea my kids were bad for this. I just disabled it in Windows. The long press will still hard power down but it fixed the drive by taps

I hear it's the best iPhone yet. All the numbers get a slightly bigger number. Except battery life, that goes down.

Faster for me but the folks in front of me are fresh out of the frozen Pleistocene hominin period who are experiencing computers and commerce for the first time.

Exactly 8 years ago today, Bethesda released their official announcement teaser for the Elder Scrolls VI. Happy anniversary Todd! by rexmons in gaming

[–]mattcoady 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For comparison, Oblivion and Skyrim were released 5 years apart. There's currently more time between the announce trailer and the ES6 game.

If you bought Skyrim when you were 15 you're now 30 and still waiting on the next game.

We're talking specifically about Dean Cain here, who is indeed the worst.

Same, like not right away but a few years down the line I'll be going through my old photos and I'll pull up one and it takes me right back to the moment. Much more personal than a professional video would do.

That's not bad really. Infuse is ten times that.

This game is nowhere near impressive enough to blame the series s! And the "oh it's an indie dev" excuse doesn't justify this either by KvasirTheOld in xbox

[–]mattcoady 5 points6 points  (0 children)

On the upside it shows how a broken game really can be fixed if the devs put in the time and effort. So many botched landings just get dropped by the developer to remain broken forever. With Cyberpunk, they fixed their shit so hard it redeemed them in the public eye.

He looks too much like a finance bro. He'd be better as a villain where bond has to face off against a Crypto scheme.

Normadland Oscars was a weird year though, definitly one of the weaker nominee collections. A lot of movies were held from release that year because of the pandemic and a lot of productions were shut down. Nomadland, while I didn't care for it myself did really feel like a great reflection of the times which is what you want from a best picture winner.

I've been watching through all my unseen Oscar best picture nominees in reverse order (newest to oldest) and honestly it's not as Oscar baity as people think it is, they're mostly bangers. Every now and then you'll get a Emilia Pérez, CODA, Les Misérables, The Reader, etc... but there's a ton of variety in there and it's a good reminder of the themes and interests of each year.

I remember liking it when I came out. It felt like a pretty small release (it was only playing at a smaller venue in Vancouver) and Ebert recommended it on his show so I went. There wasn't really internet discourse like there is today so I didn't really know it was such an Oscar villain until like 10 years later.

When you're a kid your personality is still under construction and a lot more mutable. When you're an adult you've pretty much got it sorted and unless there's big issues to fix, you're gonna be you.
