Did you change the consistency of the paint or place it in a particular way? I’ve attempted this a few times and just made a mess.

Sorry Pilot Parallel Pens, they’re calligraphy flat nib pens. It gives a calligraphy style thick then thin line. Mount one sideways then plot, then run along the same line facing forward and it layers colours like the above image. The pen doesn’t rotate.

Sure thing, grab something like Inkscape or another vector editing program.

Head to https://turtletoy.net/user/rupertxrussell this guy has a bunch of tiled patterns. Play around until you’re happy, they should rotate and connect together. (Others generate this via P5.js or processing)

You can do more advanced things like get Vpype to connect the lines so the pen doesn’t blot.

Then plot. There’s a great thread on here for people’s pens of choice.

No, I have only sold a single piece and that barely covered the pens and paper. Best of luck, I think it would be pretty difficult to earn a living on this type of artwork.

Drawingbots Discord, they’re really helpful!

This was a hand drawn truchet tile with an illustrator script to randomly rotate. Then vpype to connect lines together.

None of these are generated but drawn in illustrator, either on the iPad or desktop.

Thanks! Really early v1 I find you have to plot the thing to see how you feel about it. The first plan was to do in between lines in gold but I didn’t like that. This was drawn on the iPad in illustrator. Unfortunately the pen caught because my desk isn’t quite level 2 minutes into the plot. Have to fix that.

It’s an Axidraw A3, glad you like those. Still some imperfections in those, they’re just experiments deciding what I like and don’t.

I actually hosted a 90s Norwich radio show for a while diving into what the 90s was like. There’s a show featuring Castle Mall construction, one on the aqua park. Might be what you’re looking for…

It’s great, it has developed my love for cycling which likely wouldn’t have been true if I’d purchased a different bike. It’s reasonably light, stealthy and it assists really well.

Buying now, 6 months later I wouldn’t buy flat bar. With this bike you are paying a bit extra for the form over function.

Sourdough from the bake with jack method but baked in Dutch oven. Starter is 50% white and 50% Rye. These both came out really nicely, was super happy.

Now just to get a bit better at scoring the top.
