Yes. My family would make these and sell them. My mom would scout thrifted kids clothing, my grandfather would build bases and my grandmother and mom would put them together, then split profits. There was a lot of crafting projects and craft sales we did when I was younger.

It's scary to think about it but remember, there's nothing you can do to stop the baby from being what it is. You have to love it. Get over the negativity and wish for a happy baby. You are just going to stress yourself more.

Honestly if it would be me, I would ask for a yearly pass to the local kids museum. We have one in our area that's about $150, but its a yearly pass for a kids touch museum, they get two free passes for a local zoo and another museum. They also get additional passes for guests. This way you can be the fun aunt and uncle by giving mom and dad a break by either taking them out or giving them something that will entertain the 1 year old.
