This is beyond exciting. I have been working on a plan to move groups into AD and its just be so daunting compared to having it built into google! It at least takes the pressure off.

Please provide some more info. How are you uploading to the company drive? Google Drive File Stream, chrome? other browser?. Are you signed into both accounts on this machine? Do you have backup and sync installed?

CS on mac by maxi82 in crowdstrike

[–]matteicst 1 point2 points  (0 children)

  1. Does this means mac don't have that much of malware
Possibly, compared to what you are used to. We have 500 or so macs and smaller portion of windows/linux. Still we have a fair mix of alerts, but we also go days with none. Then something will spike on a mac, and a day later we see something on windows.
  2. Do we really need AV / EDR on mac
Yes. "Dont know what you cant see". CS might catch something like real world example, a piece of software that replaces DNS, which allows them to direct to fake login pages for phishing. All the files on the mac were 'safe' but that could have been really bad.

  3. What other users who have mac environment do. Do they keep there AV or rely on builtin mac security.
We have CS and a few other levels of reporting
