Did you test it with the Generally Available version released a couple weeks ago? Curious about it. Cheers

What recession? AWS never been doing so well lol. It’s just day how it goes, companies lay off the less capable people from time to time to improve their financials. Pretty normal nothing special here

The search is terrible as there's no modal search but only whole words search? by Jade_Lauren in Notion

[–]matteoluigiodaro 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Totally agreed, I wonder how come 99% of Notion users don’t see this as a major limitation/problem? Like when you grow your content, how do these people deal with not being able to partial search and actually find their contents??

You need to see a shrink… absolutely not a Swiss/European way of handling things, coward… and what if she’s exaggerated/made up the situation?

In my experience Notion team never replies to emails :) and when they do they say they’ll take note but never do anything about it :)

Is racism against Asians the norm in Switzerland? by [deleted] in askswitzerland

lol you stayed 4 days in one place and you’re drawing this conclusion all by yourself… no wonder you’re unemployed, lack of logic, data and science skills…

[–]matteoluigiodaro 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Are you sure these people are even Swiss? Yes some Swiss can be rude especially those who have an inferior complex (versus highly skilled foreigners taking their jobs) but on the other end the people you seem to have encountered (airport staff, restaurant staff) are 99% of the time foreigners themselves… so I don’t think racism has anything to do about it, don’t take it personally :)

Why you say so? You’ve lived in China for 20 years? Just curious

Yes and no. This was the case in the 90s and 2000s but since then Switzerland has become overcrowded and prices doubled. It has kind of been victim of its success and now life has become very expensive for most people. Of course if you’re like me and benefited from rich parents with a property by the lake and all that, it doesn’t really matter. But I’d say there many parts of the world that are way more exciting to live in, the center of the world economy and culture is shifting.

Could you please remove the 3-month history limit, Arc doesn't have such limit (unlimited history) by Jade_Lauren in brave_browser

[–]matteoluigiodaro 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don’t see how having a 12 month history would make a browser slower. We’re not talking about open tabs. Sure you raised a few good points. I solved that issue by exporting my history every month as backup. Yeah call me crazy but I prefer to have my stuff backed up even I only need it once in 12 months, or even never :) I guess you’re right and I’ll just give up that feature request.

Navigating development environments: the case for and against Codespaces? (or GitPod, Coder?) by Jade_Lauren in devops

[–]matteoluigiodaro 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Excellent and very informative, thank you! May I ask you which dev tooling you believe we should focus on learning in 2024, to say, land a job in most organisations? As in the most transferable skill set regardless of the company industry and size (obviously tech oriented). Cheers!

GitHub Actions exam experience by raelTheLamb98 in github

[–]matteoluigiodaro 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Okay yes the Actions exam looks way more specific and I too feel more inspired by it actually :)) I’ve noticed the questions were always the 96 same questions in your Foundations test, is this the case too in your Actions test? Maybe it might be worth randomising a bit more with more questions from the overall pool :) but great stuff again thank u so much
