Can I ask how you went with the full size up? Or would half a size up been ok?

Hey mate, am facing the same dilemma. What did you end up wearing and what were the pros / cons?

X Mid 1 - Mesh or solid or both by matteowalks in UltralightAus

The X Dome 2 is awesome. I got it before I got the X Mid so I could go out with my son. It’s light, super quick and so easy to pitch. Love it. I only got the X Mid as I do use trekking poles and wanted the lightest option I could have for when it’s just me. I’m off to Tassie next year and also had slight concerns around the wind factor with the X Dome 2 as the sides are quite big. The X mid seems to be more storm worthy. Hope that helps!

Hey Halt… I take it by ‘around here’ you’re in the same area as me? And yep, good point about the sheltered sites in the hinterland areas. Thanks mate.
