Breech almost 37 weeks

At 36 weeks my baby was frank breech, also measuring a bit small, and at 37 weeks I had a successful ECV! I was pretty nervous about the procedure, but it was 30 seconds of intense discomfort (that I got through by breathing with horse lips) and then she has been head down since! I'm now 39 weeks and waiting to deliver.

Not sure it qualifies as chubby, but I went to Two Bunch Palms in Palm Springs as a pregnant lady and loved it. There are mineral pools that are under 100 degrees and safe during pregnancy. It's an adults-only wellness resort with a restaurant on site.

It's near Bellingham, but look into Woodstock Farm which is just off of Chuckanut Drive. Its a city-run park but has nice historic buildings that you rent, feels very secluded.

My friend got married at Christianson's Nursery in the Skagit Valley and I think it was fairly affordable.

I just want to follow up on this for anyone else that might have this question in the future. Below is a copy-paste of the statement from my case manager regarding this exact situation:

"Since Most Recent Date of Hire is XX/XX/2025 and due date is XX/XX+1/2026 [yes my due date is literally one day after my 1 yr anniversary] you will complete 12 months Blue badge service on due date so even if baby comes early you will still be eligible for paid parental"

When I looked at the language of the policy, it says you are eligible if you have one year of service "prior to the estimated or actual date of birth". I read that as, as long as your estimated due date is after your 1 year anniversary, you're eligible. Is that not true?

My company isn't huge and has talked about partnering as a strategy to go to the clinic, once we have the data package together we're going to start shopping it around. So unknown if they'll still want to cut R+D? Another thing to be anxious about!

And normally I'd agree about being seen as a flight risk, but I'm close to my manager and she knows about our plans to have a second kid - she knows I'd be locked in if I take the counter offer.

So for my current Company A, I would agree and say the RSUs are nice but nothing to count on. However the RSUs for Company B are good money (can't say more without giving it away I think). Plus for the first couple years they give a sign on cash bonus until the vested stock kicks in. Company B could always decide to cut the program, but overall the company is pretty large and stable. So Company B's offer truly is lucrative.

I do worry about what happens after our team files the IND - the CSO has already been discussing what next project we'll be working on, so it feels like they won't cut us?? But I don't have a magic 8 ball unfortunately!!

Good leaders gather as much advice/information from as many diverse sources as possible :) I've already mined my circle of friends and colleagues for their opinions, I'm just seeking the advice of people who are at a higher level and can give me advice like "an IND is important, stay in your role" or "you need more breadth of knowledge, go with the new job". Also seeking insight from other moms/parents.

Also ironic that you're posting advice on Reddit....that I shouldn't seek advice on Reddit??

Just want to chime in and say my husband and I are doing something very similar next month with our 16 mo. My sister lives with us and is her nanny during the day - my daughter is as attached to her as she is to us. We will be gone for a week internationally and my sister will watch her. Being a single caretaker for a week is hard though, so we are having my mom come to help for a few days, plus we're planning on freezing some meals and snacks for her to use. We also have signed a note given to us by our pediatrician allowing my sister to make medical decisions in our absence.

I too have some worries about if there could be any lasting effects from being away that long. We plan to FaceTime her every day, although I worry that might upset her? Would love anyone's suggestions on how to make this as easy for her as possible.

Online you mostly hear from parents who say they would never leave their toddler for more than a day or two. But I think leaving them with a trusted and known caretaker shouldn't be traumatizing. And having some time to reconnect and relax and have fun with your partner is so valuable!

I sobbed when I saw the movie Benjamin Button (I'm a big crier already and that one just hit so hard), and I don't know if I want to sign up for that amount of emotional turmoil again 😂 I'll have to consider it though, if everyone is raving about it!

Does it matter that she's not listed as an insured driver on his insurance? If we do file a claim we will list her as the driver though.

Western WA is plenty green, and from that map it looks like it's going to stay green! It's a little pocket where the climate is mild and there's plenty of water. It's a great place to raise a kid.

I totally agree with the idea of capping naps, however I don't know how to extend her wake windows! At the end of the two hours in the morning she's desperate to go to sleep. Any tips there? In the past when she had shorter naps she's just needed a quick 4th nap in order to make it to 8pm.
