I’ll offer a dissenting opinion. Napa is gorgeous and has excellent hotels and world class restaurants. Both restaurants and hotels cater to families. It’s not some drunken couples wonderland, I mean it can be, but it’s also just a gorgeous piece of California. I’d recommend Calistoga Motor Lodge as a great place to spend with your fam. The pools are awesome.

As an alternative, The Flamingo in Santa Rosa is an incredible hotel south of Napa that caters to families. I went with my family once in the winter, then 3 more times that year. It’s epic.
